DevOps Cloud Engineer E3 - 1564 Location: Colorado Springs, CO (On Site 100%) 80912 Clearance: Must have a current and active Top Secret clearance Compensation: 120-170K (depends on education, years of experience, and overall skill set) Relocation: Candidates willing to relocate themselves within 2-4 weeks from offer will be considered Position Responsibilities
As a DevOPS Cloud engineer, you will be responsible for:
• Designing, implementing, and managing a complex hyperconverged cloud infrastructure on the Nutanix platform.
• Developing and maintaining automated deployment scripts using tools such as Ansible or Terraform.
• Collaborating with development teams to implement Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
• Designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions using a variety of technologies including Bash, Python, Ansible, and PowerShell.
• Testing and validating automation solutions to ensure they meet requirements and are free from defects.
• Tracking the impact of events/actions on the underlying infrastructure being managed, such as patching and maintenance.
• Must be a detail-oriented individual that is able to track the impact of events/actions on the underlying infrastructure being managed, such as patching and maintenance.
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s in IT related field, plus 5 years of related experience and may have a post-secondary degree or training in a related discipline.
• An current and active TOP SECRET clearance.
• Candidate must obtain a DOD 8570/8140 certification such as Security+ CE or equivalent within three months of starting.
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMWare, RedHat Openstack, or Nutanix.
• Experience with Linux and/or Windows Server system administration.
• Experience with a scripting language such as Bash, Python, PowerShell, or Ansible.
• Experience working within a Scrum team in an Agile environment.
Preferred Qualifications / Desired Skills
• Experience developing CI/CD pipelines with Gitlab.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience implementing configuration management methodologies using Ansible.
• Prior experience with a Nutanix Hyperconverged on-prem cloud platform.
• Experience with Windows Server and Active Directory.
• Scrum Master experience is a plus.
