Job Description:

Must-Have Experience
  • SMB network scanning including Windows File Server management, Folder, and Share security.
  • Network Printing Administration to include deployments, removals, scanning and troubleshooting and all aspects that go along with it.
  • Windows Active Directory Identity Administration and Azure Active Directory Identity Administration to ensure proper understanding of the enterprise relationships between users, computers, and other endpoints.
  • Only submit candidates who have the specific experience highlighted in the bullets above.
Key Responsibilities

Help Desk Request Management:

  • Monitors and analyzes Help Desk requests
  • Performs initial triage, evaluation, second tier resolution, or transfers requests to a senior level technician as needed

DHCP Administration:

  • Creates and manages DHCP reservation records utilizing Microsoft DHCP Server

SMB Network Scanning:

  • Windows File Server management, Folder, and Share security

Network Printing Administration:

  • Deployments - involves managing print servers, configuring printer queues & ensuring proper permissions are set for users
  • Removals - safely decommissioning printers from networks making sure user access is removed & associated data handled properly
  • Scanning/Troubleshooting - addressing issues related to network connectivity, printer malfunctions & user problems. May involve diagnosing problems through network protocols like DNS and DHCP

Identity and Access Administration:

  • Administers secure user access to AD and Azure secured shared resources for Executive Branch agencies
  • Ensures access is compliant with HIPPA, CJIS, PCI, FTI, FERPA, etc. requirements

PowerShell and Scripting:

  • Works with PowerShell/Graph scripts to provide efficiencies for and optimization

File Recovery and Support:

  • Provides file recovery with Volume Shadow Services and current file backup software
  • Provides guidance for user self-service of cloud file and email recovery

Documentation and Process Improvement:

  • Develops, maintains, and follows documentation related to MCS processes, procedures, and standards
  • Contributes ideas for process and workflow improvement

Collaboration and Compliance:

  • Partners with technicians from other DoIT divisions and bureaus to provide support and solutions
  • Follows all established DoIT and State policies, standards, and procedures
Skills/Requirements
  • Network Printing Administration - including deployments, removals, scanning and troubleshooting of network printing Required 3 Years
  • General networking experience - DNS, DHCP, IP protocols, troubleshooting access to network resources as it relates to connectivity Required 3 Years
  • Microsoft Windows Server administration experience (Windows Server 2016 - 2022) Required 3 Years
  • SMB-based Network Scanning experience including Windows File Server management, Folder and Share security Required 3 Years
  • Windows Active Directory Identity Administration AND Azure AD Identity Administration experience Required 3 Years
  • PowerShell/Graph Scripting experience Highly desired 2 Years
  • File Access and Recovery - Experience recovering files with VSS and recovering files from backup Highly desired 2 Years
