Job description

The Content Authenticity Initiative

With the increasing power and availability of powerful generative AI tools, the world of creativity is exploding with potential. With this, comes a certain responsibility for companies to let users know where their content came from. This is where Content Credentials come into play for consumers. It's also an important part of addressing the spread of disinformation and ultimately restoring trust in content, wherever we find it.
The Content Authenticity Initiative team at Adobe believe that creating a long-term solution is a shared responsibility among creators, technology companies, civil society and media publishers. We succeed by joining together to develop an international technical standard (C2PA), bolstered by a rich open source ecosystem and simple user experiences. This is the work of the Adobe CAI team. With over 2500 members, the CAI serves a community of implementers and ensures leading Content Credentials experiences are available across the entire Adobe product suite.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced developer to join our web team. You'll make an impact by expanding C2PA usage within Adobe products from our ACA website to Photoshop. You will work in a collaborative environment with designers, product management and engineers while interacting with innovative product teams across Adobe. You'll be expected to build features, test and maintain new/existing code. The perfect candidate will have a keen eye for details, deep awareness of tradeoffs and very high standards for code quality and efficiency.

What you'll do
  • Work across flagship products and systems to ensure C2PA technology is used as broadly as possible

  • Work on highly visible technology projects that are at the forefront of the industry, playing a pivotal role in shaping the future of digital media and bringing trust and transparency to the ecosystem.
  • Actively participate in architectural discussions, proposing innovative solutions to complex technical challenges and driving consensus among our team.
  • Promote engineering best practices to maintain a high standard of code quality and software craftsmanship.
  • Thrive in a high-velocity team environment, prioritizing tasks effectively and delivering results with speed and precision.
Required experience
  • 5-6 years as a web-focused software engineer, with proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Extensive experience with modern frameworks for building and testing websites, such as React, Svelte, Playwright, Puppeteer, etc
  • Experience building highly maintainable and commented production applications
  • Fluency with Git and GitHub
  • Reverence for great documentation and excitement to produce it where sensible
  • An appreciation for well-tested code and pragmatism about when and where to build test infrastructure
  • Passion for solving problems of any scope elegantly every day!
  • Ability to embrace constructive criticism and skill to share constructive criticism with your colleagues
  • Proven drive to improve your skills and knowledge
Plusses
  • Direct experience with Svelte, Sveltekit, Tailwind, Percy
  • Experience developing browser plug-ins / extensions
