JOB DETAILS:
Position:Powertrain Process Engineer Machining & Assembly
JOB REF#:44100 - 1462641
Duration:12+ Months (On-going Contract)
Location:ONSITE - Buffalo, WV 25033
Pay Rate:$50.00 per hour (W2 Only)
• • LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY, residing with in 200 miles of Buffalo, WV * •
• • This is role is 100% ONSITE, no remote work offered • •
Developing operating process plans to machine or assemble parts for assigned area of the Powertrain department:
• Leading, planning, procurement, installation, trial, and launching of engine/transmission machining or assembly lines
• Creating and maintaining schedule and budget for assigned areas
• Develop / improve standard tools and benchmarks
• Lead and participate in cross functional working groups across local facility and corporate departments to achieve project goals
• Visualize activity plans and schedules to facilitate quick consensus building to secure project priorities.
• Analyze critical manufacturing issues and clearly communicate root cause and countermeasure plans to stakeholders
DAILY TASKS:
• Creating machine plans, defining specifications, and overseeing installation.
• Manage plant definition, installation, and hand-over to operations.
• Manage end-to-end plant setup and transition to operational teams.
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
• 3- 5 years of experience after college (we are not looking for Senior candidates for this role).
• Must have some exposure to project management - process engineering, including schedule and budget management
• Must have experience with machining or assembly experience
• Experience in process engineering, including schedule and budget management
• AutoCAD experience including the ability to read, interpret and modify
• 3D Cad experience including the ability to read and interpret
• EDUCATION: Bachelor s degree in engineering or College.
Other Requirements:
• 20% TRAVEL - International/Domestic (able to obtain a US Passport)
• 20% OVER-TIME / (45 -50 hours a week in general) - which covers weekends, holidays, and shutdowns, when required
• PPE: Will wear Steel Toed Shoes/Hard Hat and Safety Glasses
