Job description

Job Summary:
Snowflake is a company that delivers the AI Data Cloud, enabling organizations to mobilize data at scale. They are seeking a Senior Web Engineer to contribute to their corporate website, focusing on building fast, accessible, and scalable web experiences while integrating AI-powered features and driving platform modernization.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Ship features, fix bugs, and improve the platform daily across the full stack โ€” React components, server-side rendering, Sling Models, OSGi services, servlets, and content APIs. This is a hands-on coding role first, with technical leadership layered on top.
โ€ข Contribute to the team's AI agent ecosystem: help design, build, test, and improve autonomous agents that handle page creation, QA validation, content translation, structured data generation, and other workflows that traditionally required manual engineering effort.
โ€ข Build frontend experiences and backend services for AI-powered features, including chatbot interfaces, automated translation, personalized content delivery, and intelligent search โ€” leveraging Snowflake's own AI products.
โ€ข Drive ongoing platform modernization โ€” caching strategies, performance optimization, and architectural improvements that keep the site fast, scalable, and future-proof.
โ€ข Take projects from scoping through delivery, collaborating cross-functionally with teams like SEO, Developer Relations, Product Marketing and more.
โ€ข Uphold and champion coding standards, accessibility requirements (WCAG AA), and testing practices across internal and vendor teams.
โ€ข Build and maintain integrations with external services, including analytics platforms, CDN layers (Cloudflare, Fastly), third-party APIs, and Snowflake's own AI products.
โ€ข Collaborate with vendor and global engineering partners, providing technical direction and code reviews to ensure quality and consistency.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Proactive self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and initiative.
โ€ข Full-stack expertise spanning React/TypeScript on the frontend and Java/AEM on the backend, with hands-on experience delivering across both layers.
โ€ข Hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) โ€” Sling Models, OSGi services, HTL, and content APIs.
โ€ข Demonstrated success driving measurable performance improvements on large-scale, public-facing websites.
โ€ข Strong understanding of web performance fundamentals โ€” Core Web Vitals, rendering pipelines, caching architectures, query optimization, and async processing.
โ€ข Genuine enthusiasm for AI-augmented development โ€” not just using AI tools, but actively shaping how AI agents participate in engineering, QA, content, and operational workflows.
โ€ข Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to lead meetings, align stakeholders, and drive decisions across design, engineering, marketing, and operations teams.
โ€ข Experience championing technical standards and mentoring other engineers, including vendor and global teams.
โ€ข A pragmatic, outcome-focused mindset with strong attention to detail and code quality.
โ€ข Experience working in fast-paced environments with competing priorities and high expectations.
โ€ข Quick to understand complex enterprise platforms and multi-layer delivery architectures.
Preferred:
โ€ข Minimum of 5โ€“7 years of experience in full-stack or frontend/backend web engineering, ideally supporting large-scale, public-facing B2B or enterprise websites.
โ€ข Deep AEM Cloud experience and familiarity with modern AEM development patterns.
โ€ข Experience with server-side rendering frameworks and client-side hydration patterns.
โ€ข Experience designing caching strategies (in-memory, CDN, application-level) and optimizing backend performance for high-traffic environments.
โ€ข Experience working with AI/LLM-powered tools, agents, or workflows in an engineering context โ€” whether building AI features, integrating LLM APIs, designing agent systems, or using AI-assisted development tools to meaningfully accelerate delivery.
โ€ข Familiarity with CDN and edge platforms (Cloudflare Workers, Fastly, Dispatcher) and content delivery optimization.
โ€ข Familiarity with web analytics platforms (Adobe Analytics, Heap) and experimentation tools (Adobe Target, Optimizely).
โ€ข Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
โ€ข Experience working within Agile or iterative delivery environments.
