WE ARE CURRENTLY HIRING FOR A FULL TIME SALES SUPERVISOR FOR OUR NEWPORT LOCATION OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION

The Sales Supervisor is a sales driven position with leadership responsibilities. The Sales Supervisor is primarily responsible for achieving his/her individual sales goal while also setting the example for the rest of the store team in exceptional customer service, and consistently upholding the standards and the vision of the company. In the absence of Store Management, the Sales Supervisor is charged with overseeing the store staff, and is the most senior presence in the store.

ESSENTIAL DUITES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Leadership:
  • Lead by example in exceptional customer service and store standards
  • Conduct him/herself as James Perse brand ambassador
  • Assist Store Management in driving and motivating the team to achieve and exceed sales goals and store KPIs
  • Consistently represent and reinforce company standards and policies
  • Consistently demonstrate expertise in product knowledge, company history, brand values
  • Identify opportunities in product, sales, and team development and strategically present ideas and solutions to Storemanagement
  • Local market knowledge of clientele base and brand competitors
  • Awareness of business trends that relate to the success of the store
  • Able to clearly articulate ideas and tailor approach to audience
  • Able to establish clear direction and gain the respect of the store team
  • Suggest appropriate partnerships in the local community
  • Contribute to and create an overall positive atmosphere in the store
  • Collaborate with other colleagues to achieve business objectives
  • Communicate any pertinent information gathered from customers to Store Management
Sales:
  • Achieve and exceed individual sales goal and company KPIs (UPT, ADT, etc.)
  • Consistently ensure customers are number one store priority
  • Assist sales associates in suggesting additional merchandise to clients
  • Suggestive sell through styling and product and luxury furniture industryknowledge
  • Incorporate James Perse lifestyle into the selling ceremony
  • Consistently build and develop client base
  • Schedule client appointments
  • Proactively network and build clientele base
Customer Service:
  • Warmly greet all customers with a sincere welcome
  • Assist Store Management in ensuring that the store staff consistently prioritizes the customer’s experience in the store
  • Facilitate consignments and client appointments based on customers’ needs and requests
  • Consistently elevate the level of customer service inside the store to set the James Perse brand apart from its competitors
  • Support the staff in creatively individualizing the customer experience
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Encourage collaboration amongst all team members
  • Ensure all aspects of the business are managed and maintained in the absence of Store Management
  • Conduct store meetings (i.e. morning meetings) in the absence of Store Management
  • Satisfactorily resolve customer issues and/or complaints
  • Ensure that the sales floor is appropriately covered
  • Ensure that the staff’s floor presence appropriately represents the James Perse brand
  • Assist Store Management in recruitment efforts to source exceptional talent for the James Perse brand
  • Assist Store Management in the onboarding of new staff members and on-going training of existing staff members
  • Support Store Management in clearly articulating the company’s expectations to the staff
  • Assist Store Management in follow-up and monitoring of store staff in the achievement of goals
  • Hold the staff accountable through coaching and counseling in partnership with Store Management
Operational Responsibilities:
  • Open and close the store and oversee all open and closing procedures
  • Maintain store standards (cleanliness, maintenance, etc.)
  • Inventory Management
  • Ensure Visual Merchandising standards are consistently upheld
  • Assist store team in any merchandise movement (transfer, charge sends, etc.)
  • Ensure all staff partakes in the replenishment of product on the sales floor and maintenance of back stock
PRINCIPAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED Special Skills:
  • Must have prior experience in a retail luxury store dealing with high-end goods, and clientele oriented sales
  • Must have strong computer skills (MS Office)
  • Must have Teamwork, or similar retail system, skills
  • Ideally has a cultivated and established clientele following
  • Ability to relocate is preferable to maximize career development opportunities
Work Experience:
  • Minimum 3-4 years of experience in a luxury environmentand/or similar industry
