Job description

First City Credit Union is in search of a strong leader to serve as the SVP/Chief Marketing Officer to plan, coordinate and execute the credit union's strategic marketing plan in the context of the credit union's overall strategic goals. The SVP/CMO is a strategic executive leader responsible for developing and executing credit union's enterprise-wide marketing, brand, communications, digital engagement, member growth, and business development strategies. Reporting directly to the President & CEO, the CMO serves as a key member of the executive leadership team and plays a critical role in advancing the credit union's mission, expanding market share, deepening member relationships, and supporting long-term organizational growth.The SVP/CMO leads all aspects of marketing, branding, member acquisition and retention, public relations, digital marketing, community engagement, product marketing, and market research. This leader will oversee critical Sponsor and Select Employer Group (SEG) relationships.Our future SVP, Chief Marketing Officer will possess the following education, knowledge and skillsets:Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or related field requiredMaster's degree (MBA or related discipline) preferredMinimum 10-15 years of progressive marketing leadership experienceAt least 5 years in a senior executive marketing role with financial services, banking, credit unions, fintech, or related industriesDemonstrated success leading brand transformation, digital marketing initiatives, and member/customer growth strategiesExperience managing marketing budgets, agencies, and cross-functional teamsExperience presenting to executive leadership and Board of DirectorsStrong understanding of retail banking, lending, deposit products, and financial services marketingExpertise in digital marketing, marketing analytics, CRM systems, marketing automation, and data-driven decision makingKnowledge of California financial services market dynamics preferred.We provide competitive compensation and benefits package that includes:Medical, dental, and vision insuranceLife insurance401k Retirement Plan (matching contribution=5%, immediate vesting)Paid Time Off (PTO)Paid HolidaysEducational Reimbursement"Actual compensation is determined based on experience, education, skills, internal equity, and other job‑related factors."EOE
