Starion Bank is seeking an accomplished Chief Risk Officer to join our Executive Leadership team. This executive-level role offers the opportunity to shape the Bank’s enterprise risk strategy while partnering closely with senior leadership and the Board of Directors.

Position: Chief Risk Officer
Location: Bismarck, North Dakota


Key Responsibilities:

• Provide oversight of the Bank’s enterprise-wide risk management framework, including enterprise risk management, information security, bank security, AML/CFT, and Fraud functions.

• Responsible for designing, implementing and monitoring comprehensive risk management and loss prevention programs while ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.

• Develop and maintain sound security, disaster recovery and business continuity programs.

• Serve as a key member of the Executive leadership team, senior management team, and sit on various board committees or project teams as needed.


Qualifications:

• 8-10 years’ experience in enterprise risk management, cybersecurity, fintech and vendor management.

• Strong background in compliance, internal audit, and fraud

• Deep understanding of FDICIA requirements and state and federal banking regulations.

• Must be experienced in strategic thinking and execution, portray excellent verbal and written communication skills, and demonstrate ability to have independent judgement.
