Life Fitness / Hammer Strength is seeking a Senior UX/UI Designer to help us take large complex feature sets and create intuitive, elegant, and cohesive experiences across our digital console products. This role requires a deep understanding of the user experience design process. You need a passion for problem solving and the ability to immerse yourself in the pains and difficulties our customers face every day.
As a Senior UX/UI Designer, you will work closely with your fellow designers and product managers to create wireframes, build low and high-fidelity designs and prototypes, and expand UI design patterns. You will take your designs to completion by supporting and collaborating with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Quality Assurance.
This is a hybrid position based out of our Global HQ in Rosemont, IL. M/F remote and T-Th are in-office collaboration days #LI-Hybrid
What You'll Do
Design UX and UI for a complex range of large-scale projects; typically, as the primary designer on a given feature set.
  • Work in close partnership with the Product Manager to fulfill the overall product vision.
  • Leverage existing research or begin new research initiatives to gain the information needed to fully understand the end-user.
  • Create user flows, product maps, and wireframes to ensure all team members are aligned around the core problem and solution space.
  • Quickly iterate on designs and offer multiple versions based on critique from peers or learnings found from user testing.
  • Work within the existing design system, while continuing to enhance and expand as new features are built.
  • Mockup and document all states, edge cases, and additional logic for engineering teams.
  • QA final software releases to ensure visual accuracy and provide detailed feedback to engineering through multiple revisions until product launch.

What You Bring
  • 6+ years in a UX/UI design role working closely with a product management team
  • Able to consider wider business goals, delivering intuitive and user-centered design solutions
  • Great design velocity: able and willing to quickly produce multiple concepts
  • Belief in data-driven design and ability to work with various analytics platforms to help inform and validate design decisions
  • Highly attentive to detail and able to critique and push designs to a best-in-class level
  • Experience with user research tools and methodologies or a strong desire to learn
  • Proficient in Figma and working knowledge of Photoshop & Illustrator.
  • Experience presenting your work through a compelling narrative and collecting feedback from cross-functional teams
  • Working knowledge of interaction patterns and limitations within modern web and native app development
  • Great written and spoken communication skills

At Life Fitness / Hammer Strength, we believe in taking care of our team with a comprehensive total rewards package that includes competitive pay and a range of valuable benefits. The salary range for this position, intended for U.S. applicants, is $93,000 - $135,900 annually.The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities. The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of Rosemont, IL and the actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.This position is eligible to participate in Life Fitness / Hammer Strength's annual Manager Incentive Plan to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of bonus varies based on company and individual performance goals and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
