Job Description
    Consults at the highest technical level with clients and IT management and staffs enterprise-wide on design, planning, integration, implementation, scalability, problem definition and resolution of Web and e-commerce engineering issues involving the interrelated demands of hardware, software, telecommunications, security and control.
    Also consults on tactical topics such as system interfaces, integration of e-commerce with core business systems, systems availability and response targets, customer service and support.
    Defines and resolves problems related to widely different platforms, hardware, software, coding structures, communication protocols.
    Works with vendors and common carriers to resolve Web-related issues. Resolves connectivity issues and workflow problems.
    Recommends scalable, advanced technologies and methods to integrate Web systems with existing systems, enabling the creation of new Web enterprises or expanding existing business onto the Web. Consults with staff responsible for determining hardware requirements and communication bandwidth to support projected transaction volumes and response time and system availability targets.
    Keeps abreast of new technological developments. Conducts evaluations of new products and vendor proposals.
    10+ years experience in web systems environments which includes web application installations, upgrades, and deployment as well as any servers/ systems that support/ host web applications


Qualifications
    Must have diverse experience that includes technical initiatives outside of core middleware products.
    Must have demonstrated ability to work multiple concurrent work streams
    Must be self-motived to identify risks, seek resolution to issues, and has the ability to learn new things quickly
    More of a developer and not administrator, -- we aren't looking for a middleware admin.
    Experience with installing, supporting, and configuring custom written and vendor applications
    Windows and Linux/UNIX experience
    Experience with Websphere, Weblogic, JBoss, Tomcat, Apache, IIS, Open SSL, Java, IIS, .NET,
    Know how to identify (or at least research) what middleware vulnerability impacts, how the remediation steps for the vulnerability works, and help our application teams identify the impacts to the applications.
    Need to know scripting languages (especially Powershell) in order to automate some remediation efforts.
    Need strong leadership, architecture and working across multi-functional team experience.
    Application deployment method or source code repository experience required specifically Anthill, EsKit, Puppet, and Subversion would be a plus.
    Experience with Wily Introscope, Splunk, and SSL Certificate management
    Understanding of Network Security Protocols and Encryption Methods.
    Ability to test and document remediation procedures for middleware threats/vulnerabilities.
    Review of related middleware vendor documents/publications o Documentation creation in Confluence Wiki system.
    Testing and remediation analysis may require lab environment prepared on local machine.
    Understanding of Active Directory, BOKS, Power Broker and other directory services.
