About the Role
Shamrock Trading Corporation is looking for a Senior Systems Administrator to join the End User Computing Systems Administration team. The successful candidate for this role will serve as the subject matter expert for the technology stack supporting critical business applications as well as the business applications themselves. The primary focus of the role is to provide maximum uptime and performance for the business application through proper design, implementation, and operational duties. A strong desire and ability to learn will be important to succeed in this role.
What You'll Do
  • Lead the planning, implementation, and management of the M365 environment, including Exchange Online, Intune, SharePoint Online, Teams, Microsoft Entra ID, and OneDrive for Business.
  • Serve as a technical lead and escalation point for complex endpoint, identity, and Microsoft 365 issues.
  • Manage user identities and access, ensuring secure provisioning and de-provisioning processes.
  • Administer and optimize Microsoft Intune, including configuration profiles, compliance policies, application deployment, and endpoint configurations.
  • Design, implement, and maintain Windows Autopilot deployment solutions to streamline device provisioning, onboarding, and lifecycle management.
  • Collaborate with Information Security to implement and support endpoint security controls and ensure endpoint configurations align with corporate security standards.
  • Collaborate with other teams to identify gaps in services and implement best-practice solutions.
  • Design, implement, and administer workstations, print servers, and backup services.
  • Automate workstation patching for both Windows and Mac endpoints.
  • Own endpoint provisioning and deployment processes, including Windows Autopilot, device imaging where required, driver management, updates, and testing of deployment solutions prior to implementation.
  • Develop and maintain automation solutions using PowerShell and related technologies to improve engineering and end-user efficiency.
  • Lead technical project planning and ensure milestones and tasks are completed on time.
  • Provide peer review for change requests, ensuring they meet organizational and technical standards.
  • Work with vendors as necessary for third-party application troubleshooting and implementation.
  • Efficiently prioritize and triage issues while maintaining a culture of root cause analysis.
  • Monitor endpoint health and user experience and implement proactive improvements.
  • Take the initiative to improve operations and stay educated on the latest relevant technologies.
  • Consistently follow organizational policies, including change, incident, and problem management processes.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of technical processes, standards, and documentation.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation.

What You'll Bring
  • BA/BS degree in a technical field or evidence of exceptional ability.
  • 5+ years in a systems administration role focused on end-user computing.
  • Advanced understanding of Windows profile management, Group Policy, folder redirection, Windows Registry, and other core operating system technologies.
  • Advanced experience with Windows 11 deployments, including imaging, driver management, provisioning, and troubleshooting.
  • Advanced experience with endpoint management platforms such as Microsoft Intune, SCCM, and Jamf.
  • Advanced experience designing and supporting Windows Autopilot and modern endpoint provisioning solutions.
  • Advanced experience automating processes using PowerShell.
  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Graph API for automation, reporting, and administration.
  • Advanced administration experience in Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Entra ID / Active Directory.
  • Experience implementing and supporting MDM and MAM solutions.
  • Experience with Duo administration.
  • Strong understanding of identity and access management principles, including multi-factor authentication technologies.
  • Experience leading technology implementations according to strong security guidelines.
  • Strong understanding of Zero Trust concepts as they relate to endpoint management and identity.
  • Advanced understanding of networking principles.
  • Understanding of various certificate types (e.g., SSL/TLS, code signing, email encryption).
  • Ability to automate certificate issuance and renewal using Windows PKI.
  • Must possess initiative and analytical skills to resolve issues before they become critical.
  • Must possess strong people skills and the ability to work as a team member, collaborating and partnering with others to address issues.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English, verbally and in writing, keeping the appropriate stakeholders informed of relevant issues, and understanding and executing oral and written instructions.
  • Able to adapt to changes in a dynamic work environment.
  • Must have a propensity for knowledge gathering and sharing.
  • Must be self-motivated, able to respond quickly when on-call, and willing to work outside core areas when necessary.
