Job description


We are seeking a Senior Unix LDAP Engineer with 10+ years of experience supporting secure LDAP environments within large-scale enterprise infrastructures. This individual will be responsible for administering and securing LDAP/LDAPS environments, managing Unix/Linux systems, supporting DNS services, and leading server lifecycle activities including builds, upgrades, patching, migrations, and troubleshooting.
The ideal candidate will possess strong infrastructure engineering expertise, a security-first mindset, and experience supporting mission-critical production environments.
Key Responsibilities
โ€ข Administer and maintain LDAP/LDAPS directory services in enterprise environments
โ€ข Configure, secure, and troubleshoot LDAP authentication and directory integrations
โ€ข Manage Unix/Linux server environments including builds, installations, upgrades, and patching
โ€ข Perform server migrations and infrastructure modernization initiatives
โ€ข Administer and support DNS infrastructure and related services
โ€ข Implement system hardening, access controls, and security best practices
โ€ข Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability across infrastructure environments
โ€ข Troubleshoot complex system, authentication, and connectivity issues
โ€ข Develop and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and standards
โ€ข Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams on enterprise initiatives

Required Qualifications
โ€ข Bachelor''s degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or related field from a reputed institution
โ€ข 10+ years of hands-on experience with Unix/Linux system administration
โ€ข Strong experience administering LDAP and Secure LDAP (LDAPS) environments
โ€ข Experience with DNS server administration and troubleshooting
โ€ข Expertise with server builds, installations, upgrades, patching, and migrations
โ€ข Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills
โ€ข Knowledge of system security, authentication, and access management concepts
โ€ข Experience working in enterprise-scale production environments
Preferred Qualifications
โ€ข Experience with OpenLDAP, 389 Directory Server, or similar LDAP platforms
โ€ข Knowledge of Kerberos, PAM, SSO, MFA, or Identity & Access Management solutions
โ€ข Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), CentOS, Ubuntu, or Solaris
โ€ข Scripting experience with Shell, Python, or Perl
โ€ข Familiarity with automation and configuration management tools
โ€ข Exposure to cloud or hybrid infrastructure environments
