This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Game Designer based in Netherlands.

This role is an opportunity to shape and evolve highly engaging casual and hybrid-casual mobile games enjoyed by millions of players worldwide. You will contribute directly to gameplay systems, economy design, monetization, and live operations for long-running titles with active player communities. Working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, you will transform creative ideas and data-driven insights into compelling game features that enhance player engagement and retention. The position requires a strong balance of creativity, analytical thinking, and hands-on design execution. You will collaborate closely with product owners, artists, engineers, and analysts to ensure cohesive game experiences from concept to live release. This is a high-impact role for someone passionate about mobile gaming, innovation, and creating experiences that continuously evolve based on player behavior and market trends.

Accountabilities:
  • Design and develop game systems, mechanics, features, and content for live and new mobile titles, ensuring engaging and scalable gameplay experiences.
  • Balance in-game economies, monetization systems, and progression loops to optimize player engagement and business performance.
  • Analyze live game performance, KPIs, and player behavior to identify opportunities for improvement and propose data-driven design solutions.
  • Support and evolve live operations events, designing new content and features that increase retention and player engagement.
  • Collaborate with product owners to define requirements, shape roadmaps, and translate business goals into clear game design direction.
  • Produce comprehensive game design documentation including feature specs, flows, UX/UI concepts, and system designs for development teams.
  • Work closely with developers, artists, QA, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate implementation and smooth integration of game features.
  • Participate in playtesting, collect feedback, and iterate on game mechanics to continuously improve player experience and gameplay quality.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in game design within a mobile F2P studio, ideally focused on casual or hybrid-casual games.
  • Strong expertise in game design principles including mechanics, systems design, economy design, monetization, and live ops.
  • Proven experience managing complex game design projects in fast-paced, iterative development environments.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to use data and KPIs to guide design decisions and improvements.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly present and document complex design concepts.
  • Deep passion for games, especially mobile casual and hybrid-casual genres, with strong awareness of market trends.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams while remaining proactive and self-driven.
  • Proficiency in Unity is a plus, along with experience using modern game design tools and workflows.
