Job Overview:
Unified Communications Engineer is responsible for the design and development of Unified Communications voice, video and Collaboration networks. Will work with Unified Communications Engineering resources to ensure proper delivery of functional systems and additionally assist in troubleshooting Unified Communications voice/video system clusters and endpoints. Quickly respond to issues regarding software application/hardware related issues, resolve on the spot problems.
Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and administer Cisco telephony equipment inclusive of compute nodes, cubes, and circuits. To include Webex Cloud
  • Deploy/maintain Cisco voice & video products across the entire portfolio as well as cloud configuration.
  • Intermediate troubleshooting of VoIP traffic across Cisco switches and routers.
  • Capable of analyzing raw data captures
  • Design and build the system integrity and connectivity tests to ensure system availability.
  • Monitoring of associated infrastructure health
  • Troubleshoot voice communications problems of varying complexity.
  • Technical lead of projects and mentor other team members.
  • Participate in Tier 2 after hours and on-call support as part of a team rotation.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience in telecommunications.
  • Minimum of 5 years of technical hands-on experience with Cisco Unified Communications suite of products as well as Cisco Webex Cloud for voice and video.
  • Flexible hours to accommodate after hours and weekend activities such as installation, testing, managing events.
  • Must sit onsite 5 days a week in LPL's Fort Mill SC office

Core Competencies:
  • Intermediate understanding of networking, including QoS.
  • Intermediate level technical understanding of:
  • Cisco WxC
  • Cisco WxCC as well as Cisco Webex Customer Assist
  • Cisco Webex Video as well as Video Conferencing to include hardware
  • Cisco Unified Communications Manager Cisco Unified Unity
  • Voice Gateways / Routers / Switches
  • Cisco CUBE Routers and/or other SBC Solutions
  • Cloud carrier experience

Preference:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field

Pay Range:
$43.78-$72.94/hour
Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
