Summary

The Senior Estimator is responsible to assemble large dollar bid proposals, while managing an Estimator(s) concurrently in in the assembly of the proposal. The Senior Estimator is also expected to follow-up and negotiate with client to close the deal. For awarded contracts, provides on-going cost estimate support to operations.

Roles and Responsibilities

The Senior Estimator will possess competency in the following areas in order to perform his/her role in a safe, productive, and effective manner. Note that the areas listed are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by co-workers assigned to this role.   • Provides Guidance to Estimators
  • Oversees/Completes Quantity Survey Take-off
  • Oversees/Contacts Vendors and Sub-contractors
  • Prepares Pricing/Bids and Proposals
  • Completes Post Bid Activities
  • Executes Transition from Pre-construction to Operations
  • Supplies Cost Estimate of Changes During Construction
  • Ensures a Safe Work Environment
  • Participates in Training/Certifications
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Accounting or related field from an accredited college or university and 6 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
