Job Description
The Opportunity:
As a Senior Product Manager in Mattel's Future Lab Product Studio, you will play a key role in redefining the future of play across creator platforms. You'll lead the charge in shaping how millions of players create, play, and connect through Mattel's worlds, bridging beloved brands with the next generation of players and creators across Roblox, Fortnite, and beyond.
You will be responsible for driving the strategy, development, and ongoing performance of Mattel's UGC gaming portfolio. As part of the Product Studio, you will transform validated concepts into market-ready, high-performing games and live experiences. You will define product roadmaps, establish success metrics, and ensure each game meets its creative, engagement, and commercial objectives.
Partnering with Producers, Designers, Analysts, and external development studios, you will help guide LiveOps strategy, product optimization, and the continued evolution of Mattel's UGC titles after launch. In this role, you will also manage a small but high-impact team, including a Marketing Manager and a Data and Performance Analyst, to ensure successful go-to-market execution and data-driven product optimization. This role requires both strategic vision and hands-on execution, strong collaboration across internal and external teams, and a passion for creating meaningful play experiences within creator-driven ecosystems.

What Your Impact Will Be:
  • Define and drive the UGC Gaming strategy and multi-year roadmap, aligning with Future Lab and Mattel Digital Studios' digital growth priorities.
  • Identify and champion breakthrough product opportunities across creator platforms that expand Mattel's reach and open new lines of business.
  • Build and own business cases, KPIs, and monetization strategies for each UGC title, ensuring strong engagement and financial performance.
  • Partner with Producers and external studios to guide product development, launch, and ongoing live operations.
  • Translate consumer insights and gameplay data into actionable improvements that enhance player engagement, retention, and monetization.
  • Lead and influence cross-functional collaboration across Marketing, Analytics, Design, Production, and Brand teams to align priorities and deliver results.
  • Cultivate strong platform partnerships with Roblox, Epic Games, and other creator ecosystems, identifying co-marketing and growth opportunities.

What Success Looks Like:
In your first 12 months, you will:
  • Launch flagship IP experiences on Roblox and Fortnite, partnering with leading development studios to bring Mattel's brands to life on creator platforms.
  • Establish data-driven best practices for LiveOps, optimizing portfolio performance and driving sustained growth across all UGC titles.
  • Build strong relationships with top creators and establish a creator partnership framework that connects Mattel's brands with influential voices and creative talent.
  • Grow Mattel's community presence and fan engagement within the creator ecosystem, cultivating lasting player and creator relationships.

Qualifications
What We're Looking For:
  • 8+ years of experience in digital product management, ideally with a focus on mobile apps, games, and consumer digital products.
  • Proven track record managing P&Ls, product roadmaps, and cross-functional execution for consumer or gaming products.
  • Experience with launching and optimizing digital or live-service products.
  • Demonstrated success collaborating with external development partners or studios, guiding product strategy while Producers manage daily delivery.
  • Deep understanding of creator economy dynamics, player engagement, and monetization models including IAP, ads, subscriptions, and marketplace systems.
  • Strong analytical and business acumen, with the ability to translate data into strategy and operational decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills with experience presenting to executives and collaborating across creative, technical, and business teams.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing people and guiding multidisciplinary teams.
  • A passion for innovation, technology, and creating exceptional consumer experiences that balance creativity and commercial success.
  • Demonstrated a growth mindset by staying curious and continuously learning, embracing challenges, and improving themselves.

*The pay range is indicative of projected hiring range, however base pay will be determined based on a candidate's work location, skills and experience.
