About the RoleTotal Wine & More is seeking an experienced Lead, Benefits Analyst to join our HR Total Rewards team in our Bethesda, MD office. This is a critical role within our organization, taking the lead on program design, implementation, administration, and communication of benefits. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of employee benefits and a passion for helping employees understand and navigate their benefit options, helping them maximize the value. The Lead, Benefits Analyst must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to multitask, and the capacity to work independently and collaboratively. This individual must also have a strong background in employee benefits, the ability to analyze and interpret benefit information, and the capacity to stay abreast of changing regulations. The Lead, Benefits Analyst should be an organized problem-solver with a strong commitment to providing excellent customer service. You will report to the Sr. Manager, Total Rewards.You willAdminister employee benefits including health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement plans, and wellness programs.Evaluate and recommend benefit plan changes based on cost, utilization, and market competitiveness.Lead program design, implementation, administration, and communication of benefitsPartner with HR, IT, Finance, and external vendors to support benefit administration activitiesProvide employees with deep understanding of their benefit options.Maintain excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Draft and distribute communication materials and assist in delivering training to educate employees and stakeholders on Total Rewards programs.Support efforts to ensure programs meet regulatory requirements and internal standards - including 5500 filings, NDT and quarterly reviews to confirm compliance.Serve as a resource for Total Rewards inquiries, providing guidance and escalating complex issues as needed.Recommend and implement process improvements and system enhancements for leave and benefits administration.Serve as one of the primary points of contact for employee inquiries related to benefits, leaves of absence and compensation delivering a white-glove service experience.You will come withBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is preferred.3-6 years of experience in HR, Total Rewards, and project coordination.Proven track record of project management skills, including the ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Experience with analytical applications, using data and insights to inform decisions and identify process improvements.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Experience working effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.Experience working in agile environments and comfortable responding positively to changing priorities and business needs.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with project management tools preferred.Knowledge of compensation and benefits regulations.We offerPaid Time Off (PTO)Generous store discountsHealth care plans (medical, prescription, dental, vision)401(k), HSA, FSA, Pre-tax commuter benefitsDisability & life insurance coveragePaid parental leavePet insuranceCritical illness and accident insuranceDiscounted home and auto insuranceCollege tuition assistanceCareer development & product trainingConsumer classes& More!Grow with usTotal Wine & More is the country's largest independent retailer of fine wine, beer and spirits, and we continue to grow our footprint year over year.
