Job description

We are seeking a Sr. Technical Program Manager for the AWS Data Center Physical Security team.
In this role you will be responsible for scoping and delivering large projects end-to-end. Responsibilities include collection of business requirements from customers, writing specifications, driving project schedules from design to release, and managing the production launch

You will lead and coordinate design/implementation efforts between internal teams, external teams and partners to develop optimal solutions for new features.
The right candidate will possess a strong technical and product/program management background, and will have successfully managed multi-discipline, highly technical project initiatives. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. This means you are not only able to develop and drive high-level strategic initiatives, but can also roll up your sleeves, dig in and get the job done

You should be open to new challenges, extremely good at multi-tasking, innovative, creative, self-directed and a great team player. Candidates should drive continuous process improvement, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional operational and software engineering teams to solve problems and implement new solutions.
As a Sr. Technical Program Manager, you will anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make trade-offs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints

An ability to take large, complex global programs and break them down into manageable pieces, develop functional specifications, then deliver them in a timely manner.
Key job responsibilities
Manage cross-team and cross-organization delivery of long-term customer-facing programs
Own end-to-end program lifecycle by writing detailed BRDs, partnering with engineering on technical specifications, and managing deployment.
Meet with internal and external customers to understand future requirements
Collaborate with stakeholders in multiple business and technical teams to define and deliver on agreed upon milestones. Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs Plan and coordinate events including facilitation and action item management.
Lead data-driven decision making through analysis of metrics and operational data, creating KPIs to demonstrate product/program value and effectiveness.
