Job description

TITLE: IT Support Technician

Position Overview

The IT Support Technician provides over-the-phone, remote, and desk-side technical support to end users for issues related to computer hardware, software, and mobile devices. This role serves as the first point of contact for technical inquiries via phone, email, and walk-ins, ensuring timely troubleshooting and resolution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver excellent customer service as the first-level support contact (phone, email, walk-in).
  • Document, track, and resolve technical issues, including:
    • Password resets
    • User setups
    • Application support
    • Hardware troubleshooting
    • Phone swaps/support
    • Workstation/laptop configuration and imaging
    • Printer/copier service
  • Escalate Level 2+ issues to senior technicians or appropriate support groups.
  • Maintain a solid understanding of core technologies (networking, telephony, operating systems, hardware, security).
  • Assist with ticketing systems and follow established guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma required.
  • Experience: 1-3 years in a professional Help Desk or IT Support role preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
  • Construction industry knowledge is a plus.
  • Experience from companies such as Geek Squad and UBreakFix will work well.
  • Certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+ preferred but not required.

Technical Skills

  • Desktop support (Windows 11)
  • Office 365
  • Ticketing systems (ServiceNow experience preferred)
  • Laptop imaging

Additional Requirements

  • Onsite position; reliable transportation required.
  • Ability to travel occasionally between corporate offices and jobsites within the Denver Metro area during work hours.
  • Physical ability to sit, stand, and use office equipment; occasional stooping or kneeling.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
