Enterprise Products Partners L.P. is one of the largest publicly traded partnerships and a leading North American provider of midstream energy services to producers and consumers of natural gas, NGLs, crude oil, refined products and petrochemicals. Our services include natural gas gathering, treating, processing, transportation and storage; NGL transportation, fractionation, storage and import and export terminals; crude oil gathering, transportation, storage and terminals; petrochemical and refined products transportation, storage and terminals; and a marine transportation business that operates primarily on the United States inland and Intracoastal Waterway systems. The partnership's assets include approximately 50,000 miles of pipelines; 260 million barrels of storage capacity for NGLs, crude oil, refined products and petrochemicals; and 14 billion cubic feet of natural gas storage capacity.
We are currently seeking a Senior Systems Analyst to provide front, mid, and back-office support for ETRM and other systems covering areas such as marketing, contract management, risk management, scheduling, valuation, settlement, invoicing, reporting, interfaces, etc... for multiple commodities. This position will work as a part of an integrated team providing direct technical assistance to key business users and technical projects at varying levels of complexity. Responsibilities to include:
  • Participates on company-wide projects for rollouts of software installations/upgrades for applications/operating systems and performs system integration testing.
  • Assists in planning, designing, evaluating, implementing, and monitoring of various applications or systems.
  • Consults with customers to ascertain needs, identify problems, applying business expertise/technical knowledge to design, and/or create information solutions to ensure satisfaction with delivered services.
  • Designs and documents systems/application models for customers and reviews with team members to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Provides operational/functional support for systems and troubleshoots/resolves problems.
  • Acquires and utilizes business knowledge by taking advantage of available resources (Internet, books, periodicals, classes/workshops, conferences, etc.) to develop and foster value driven business solutions.
  • Provides technical training and mentoring to promote competency and growth.
  • Participate in monthly Maintenance Window rotation.
  • Periodic on-call responsibilities based on monthly business processing cycle.
  • Communicates between various business and IT groups.

Qualifications
The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or 5 years of related industry or technical experience is required.
  • Computer Science, Computer Information Systems (CIS), or Management Information Systems (MIS) degree is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience designing, developing, integrating, and supporting enterprise class commercial applications is preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience with Java is preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience with OpenLink Endur is preferred.
  • 1-2+ years of knowledge and experience with JVS scripting and Crystal Report development and support experience is preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in Information Technology specific to application development and support is preferred.
  • 4 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL is preferred.
  • Ability to pick up on new technologies quickly and learn new skills is needed.
  • Dedicated to meeting expectations and requirements of internal and external customers.
  • Proven problems solving, analytical & decision-making skills.
  • Strong documentation and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with co-workers and customers to gain their trust and respect.
