Senior Level Systems Administrator
Why This is an Exciting Role:
BI&A is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to be responsible for managing technical support operations and leads a team providing 24/7 assistance to computer system and network users. Oversees help desk services, may include data center management, and ensures efficient resolution of IT issues while maintaining service level agreements.
Experience and Qualifications:
To be eligible for this demanding position, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following experience and qualifications:
Required Education and Years of Experience:
• 10 Years of experience in Systems Administration roles or a highly related field of work with similar scope and responsibilities.
• A Bachelor's degree may be substituted for 4 years of experience and a Master's Degree may be substituted for 6 years of experience.
Required Qualifications:
• TS/SCI with an active CI Polygraph
• Strong understanding of computer systems, networks, servers, and end-user technologies
• Knowledge of Windows, macOS, and/or Linux operating systems
• Familiarity with help desk ticketing systems and IT service management (ITSM) tools
• Understanding of network protocols, email systems, firewalls, and backup solutions
• Experience with Active Directory, virtualization, and cloud technologies
• Willingness and ability to work flexible schedules, including potential shift work
Desired Qualifications:
• Industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA Server+, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator, Red Hat Certified System Administrator)
• Proven leadership and team management abilities
• Strong customer service orientation and communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical capabilities
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage competing demands
• Experience with ITSM platforms (ServiceNow, Remedy, Jira Service Management)
