JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for a Senior Storage and Backup Administrator to join the Global IT Operations team. The role involves the design, implementation, administration, optimization, and support of enterprise storage and backup environment.ย 

Your role:

  • Design, deploy, configure, and maintain enterprise storage systems including SAN, NAS, and object storage environments.ย 
  • Manage and optimize storage platforms, especially: Dell PowerFlex, Dell Unity, Dell Data Domain, Synologyย 
  • Perform storage provisioning, capacity planning, performance tuning, and lifecycle management.ย 
  • Monitor storage performance, availability, and utilization to proactively identify and resolve issues.ย 
  • Implement and maintain storage replication, snapshots, deduplication, compression, and tiering strategies.ย 
  • Administer enterprise backup solutions such as Veeam, Commvault, Azure Backup, AWS Backup.ย 
  • Develop and maintain backup, retention, and recovery policies aligned with business and compliance requirements.ย 
  • Perform backup monitoring, troubleshooting, validation, and recovery testing.ย 
  • Lead Disaster Recovery drills and ensure RPO/RTO objectives.ย 
  • Ensure successful execution of backup jobs and rapid restoration capabilities.ย 
  • Manage backup infrastructure across physical, virtual, and cloud workloads.ย 
  • Implement data protection and ransomware recovery strategies.ย 
  • Ensure backup and storage environments comply with security policies and regulatory requirements.ย 
  • Participate in audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews.ย 
  • Maintain secure access controls and encryption standards for storage and backup systems.ย 
  • Support virtualization and physical platforms including VMware, Hyper-V, Windows, Linux for both Storage and Backup.ย 
  • Provide Level 3 technical support for storage and backup incidents / requests. Perform root cause analysis and coordinate with vendors.ย 
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.ย 
  • Mentor junior administrators and provide technical guidance to the broader IT team.ย 

Your profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.ย 
  • 7+ years of experience administering enterprise storage and backup environments.ย 
  • Strong experience with backup tools such as Veeam, Commvault, Cloud Backupย 
  • Strong experience with SAN/NAS technologies (Dell PowerFlex, Dell Unity, Dell Data Domain).ย 
  • Hands-on experience with VMware and Hyper-V environmentsย 
  • Solid knowledge of Windows and Linux server environmentsย 
  • Solid knowledge with cloud platforms such as Azure and AWSย 
  • Scripting and Automation knowledge using PowerShell / Shellย 
  • Good understanding of networking conceptsย 
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skillsย 
  • Experience supporting Disaster Recovery and data protection strategiesย 
  • Ability to work in a global, collaborative environmentย 
  • Excellent communication and proactive problem-solving skillsย
