Overview of The Role

As a Senior Development Engineer - BackEnd Technologies, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions. This role requires a strong grasp of software engineering principles, outstanding problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced setting.

It also entails mentoring junior developers to support their development and contribute to overall team success.

Job Responsibilities
  • Understand the business requirements thoroughly to ensure the developed software aligns with the needs of stakeholders.
  • Build robust and scalable Java applications from design to deployment and integrate services seamlessly with APIs.
  • Develop and implement micro-services architecture for modular and maintainable software.
  • Independently translate requirements into low-level technical designs.
  • Actively participate in solution analysis meetings and sessions.
  • Review the code to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Identify and communicate risks and issues, proposing resolutions to project leadership.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop reliable and high-performance backend solutions.
  • Provide mentorship to the team, help them grow in their technical responsibilities and remove roadblocks.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5-8 years of hands-on experience in Java (version 8 or higher), with a deep understanding of Core Java and OOPS concepts.
  • Proficient in Spring boot, including Spring data, Spring security, Spring MVC, and JPA/Hibernate.
  • Should have knowledge of project architecture and demonstrate experience in developing and deploying applications based on micro-services architecture.
  • In-depth knowledge of Design patterns, Multithreading, Data structures, and Algorithms, along with a basic understanding of Low-Level Design (LLD).
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing robust RESTful APIs.
  • Solid knowledge of databases, including MS SQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB (advantageous), alongside a good understanding of entity-relationship (ER) modeling concepts.
  • Experience in conducting code reviews, debugging complex issues, and implementing effective troubleshooting strategies to ensure high-quality software delivery.
  • Basic understanding of messaging tools like RabbitMQ and Kafka.
  • Familiarity with cross-functional domains such as FrontEnd and DevOps.
  • Should have deep understanding of Agile methodology.
