This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer with strong Cold-Formed Steel (CFS) or Light Gauge Steel experience who enjoys seeing their designs move from concept through to fabrication and construction.

The Opportunity

As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for integrating structural systems into residential projects, ensuring designs are code-compliant, manufacturable, and ready for production. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams across engineering, BIM, manufacturing, and construction to deliver innovative building solutions.

This role offers significant ownership and visibility, with the opportunity to influence both product development and operational delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and coordinate structural designs for residential construction projects.

  • Produce and maintain detailed Revit models and fabrication-ready documentation.

  • Lead structural validation and ensure compliance with US building codes and standards.

  • Collaborate with architectural, MEP, BIM, and manufacturing teams to deliver coordinated project designs.

  • Support project delivery by identifying and resolving structural and coordination challenges.

  • Prepare permit packages, shop drawings, and engineering documentation.

  • Drive continuous improvement of structural design processes and production methodologies.

  • Provide technical guidance during fabrication and construction phases.

Required Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.

  • 5+ years of structural engineering experience.

  • Strong experience with Cold-Formed Steel (CFS) / Light Gauge Steel design.

  • Advanced Autodesk Revit skills.

  • Strong knowledge of US structural design codes and standards.

  • Experience producing structural calculations and technical documentation.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable Experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) licence or working towards licensure.

  • Experience within modular, panelised, offsite, or prefabricated construction.

  • Knowledge of Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA) principles.

  • Experience with SolidWorks, Navisworks, or related design tools.

  • Exposure to manufacturing, fabrication, or production environments.

What's On Offer
  • Salary up to $180,000 USD depending on experience.

  • Opportunity to work on innovative construction and engineering projects.

  • Career growth within a rapidly expanding organisation.

  • Comprehensive benefits package.

  • High-impact role with direct influence on product and project delivery.
