Sr. Structural Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to lead the design and analysis of complex structural systems across a diverse portfolio of projects. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality structural solutions that align with safety, sustainability, and performance standards. As a senior member of the team, you will take ownership of projects, mentor engineers, and serve as a key point of contact for clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead structural analysis and design for complex projects including commercial, industrial, and institutional facilities
  • Act as the primary technical authority, guiding structural design decisions from initial concept through construction completion
  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, providing technical oversight and professional development support
  • Collaborate closely with architects, mechanical and electrical engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure well-integrated design solutions
  • Prepare and review detailed drawings, calculations, and specifications using Revit and AutoCAD
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to verify compliance with design intent, building codes, and safety standards
  • Present design concepts and technical findings to clients and stakeholders, incorporating feedback and managing revisions
  • Review and stamp structural drawings and documentation in accordance with applicable codes and licensure requirements
  • Stay current with evolving industry codes, standards, and emerging structural engineering technologies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering or equivalent
  • Active Professional Engineer license
  • 8+ years of experience in structural design and analysis

  • Proficiency in RISA, Revit, and AutoCAD
  • Strong knowledge of building codes including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI 318, AISC, and NDS
  • Experience designing with multiple material systems such as steel, concrete, wood, and masonry

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
