POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Strategist, Audience & Journey is responsible for leading the strategy, execution, and optimization of end-to-end customer lifecycle marketing programs across multiple channels, including email, SMS, app, and web. This role drives both strategic direction and hands-on execution of audience development, segmentation, testing, journey orchestration, and campaign performance to deliver personalized customer experiences that improve engagement, conversion, retention, and lifetime value.
The Senior Strategist will directly support audience creation, journey builds, campaign execution, QA, and optimization efforts while partnering cross-functionally with Marketing, CRM, Analytics, Product, and Technology teams.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
General Responsibilities
  • Build and manage advanced audience segmentation and targeting strategies to support personalized customer experiences.
  • Execute and optimize CRM marketing calendar initiatives and automated lifecycle campaigns.
  • Directly support hands-on audience creation, journey builds, campaign execution, QA, and deployment activities.
  • Establish scalable workflows, governance standards, and operational best practices for audience management and journey orchestration.
  • Lead testing strategies and optimization initiatives to improve engagement, conversion, retention, and customer lifetime value.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, CRM, Analytics, Product, and Technology teams to align lifecycle initiatives with business goals.
  • Translate business needs into audience and journey requirements while identifying opportunities for automation and personalization.
  • Utilize performance data and insights to recommend optimizations and improve campaign and journey effectiveness.
  • Manage audience suppression, frequency controls, and compliance standards across CRM channels.
  • Support CRM platform enhancements, operational improvements, and implementation of new lifecycle marketing capabilities.

Required:
  • 6+ years of experience in CRM, lifecycle marketing, or marketing automation with both strategic and executional responsibilities.
  • Prior leadership experience managing projects, cross-functional initiatives, or teams, with readiness to grow into direct people management responsibilities.
  • Proven experience building and managing audiences and customer journeys within CDP and CRM platforms.
  • Strong understanding of lifecycle marketing strategy, personalization, segmentation, and omnichannel campaign orchestration.
  • Experience with CRM platforms and marketing automation tools such as Adobe Journey Optimizer, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Braze, Insider, or similar platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience leveraging performance data to drive optimization.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Understanding of digital privacy and compliance standards including CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and TCPA.

Preferred:
  • Experience leading CRM operational processes or campaign production teams.
  • Familiarity with CDPs, customer data strategy, and audience governance best practices.
  • Experience implementing testing frameworks and personalization strategies.
  • Knowledge of agile project management methodologies and workflow optimization.
  • Experience within a subscription, seasonal, retail, travel, or hospitality business.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in related field required (marketing, business, business analytics, communications, economics).

The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of the Company's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits.
Denver area base salary range: $80,000 to $112,000 per year
