What You'll Do
This territory supports a strategic healthcare and life sciences account, and the Senior Account Executive is responsible for driving Teradata's growth by expanding and strengthening relationships across the organization. This role focuses on identifying new opportunities, building pipeline, and executing complex sales cycles in partnership with internal stakeholders.
To be successful, this person will be able to quickly establish strong relationships and build alignment across diverse stakeholders in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong business acumen, healthcare industry familiarity, and the ability to engage in both business and technical conversations with customers. They will also understand the buyer journey and collaborate effectively within a matrixed team to progress opportunities and close business.
This person is a self-starter with a growth mindset, willing to think creatively to help solve clients' complex challenges.
Key Areas of Responsibility
  • Drive alignment with clients around Teradata's modern cloud and AI-driven data platform, supporting customer business objectives.
  • Support development and execution of account plans to drive territory growth and deepen engagement.
  • Build and expand relationships with key stakeholders and influencers within the account.
  • Manage pipeline development, opportunity progression, and forecasting to deliver against revenue targets.
  • Demonstrate understanding of client business priorities, data and analytics landscape, and competitive environment.
  • Effectively communicate the value of Teradata solutions and articulate ROI aligned to customer needs.
  • Partner with internal teams and specialists to advance opportunities and deliver end-to-end sales cycles.
  • Contribute to overall account strategy and collaborate closely with senior account leaders and extended teams.

Who You'll Work With
You will collaborate proactively across Teradata's Go-To-Market and partner ecosystem to accelerate sales opportunities, including Solutions Integrators (SI), Cloud Service Providers (CSP), and Independent Software Vendors (ISV).
What Makes You a Qualified Candidate
  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience).
  • Master's Degree (optional/preferred).
  • Proven track record of driving new business and expanding within existing accounts.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience building relationships with mid-to-senior level stakeholders (Director / Sr. Director / VP).

What You'll Bring
  • Understanding of AI, data, and analytics trends and how they impact customer priorities.
  • Healthcare and life sciences industry exposure or relevant experience.
  • Experience with analytics platforms or data-related technologies.
  • Familiarity with sales methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Ability to create and deliver compelling presentations to customers.

This position is working in a virtual office environment, including home office & customer site. A combination of independent work and team collaboration will be required. Travel up to 50% is also expected.

US Pay Rate: $284,100.00 - $355,200.00 - $426,200.00 On-Target Earnings
Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on geographic location, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and candidate experience. Sales roles will be eligible for commission payments tied to quota achievement. All other permanent roles will be eligible for one of our annual incentive plans, which are based on company financial attainment and individual performance. Employees in this position are eligible to participate in the Company's benefits programs, which generally include health care, life and disability insurance, retirement savings, and time-off programs.
