Job description

Job Title: Active Directory Specialist

Location: Remote

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer and support Active Directory services, including domain controllers, forests, trusts, and replication.
  • Design and implement Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to enforce organizational security standards.
  • Manage user accounts, OU structures, roles, and permissions across AD.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to AD authentication, replication, and trust relationships.
  • Perform AD health checks, monitoring, and maintenance using tools like ADREPLSTATUS and dcdiag.
  • Integrate AD with Microsoft 365, Azure AD, and third-party identity solutions.
  • Support backup and disaster recovery procedures for AD.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and help desk teams on IAM initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards (e.g., NIST, HIPAA, ISO).
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience administering Active Directory in enterprise environments.
  • Strong experience with Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, LDAP, Kerberos, and AD Certificate Services.
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and administration.
  • Experience in identity federation (e.g., ADFS, SAML, Azure AD Connect).
  • Knowledge of Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 environments.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and documentation skills.
  • Experience with hybrid identity environments (Azure AD, Microsoft Entra).
  • Experience in Privileged Access Management (PAM) and Identity Governance solutions.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune) and SCCM.
  • Experience with vulnerability scanning and compliance tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys).
  • Federal Experience is a plus.
  • Required Security clearance.
