Job Summary

The Contracting Specialist reviews and processes agent and agency contracts for certification. Processes hierarchy changes, manages agent and agency agreements, and processes special requests related to contracting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to inbound and outbound calls to the Contracting Department.
  • Address contracting tickets.
  • Process contracts, including hierarchy transfers, state appointments, principal changes, and licensing.
  • Second in queue for incoming calls to the Contracting Department.
  • Ready to sell CRM update.
  • Back-up Contract Assistants as needed.
  • Send out online contract links to agents and agencies.
  • Monitor and manage new agency onboarding/relationships with new agencies including but not limited to:
    • Create and send out override agreement.
    • Send out agency contract links.
    • Host agency meetings
  • Assist Senior Specialist with large agency onboarding.
  • First in queue to address internal channel/contract issues.
  • Perform audits/reconciliations to ensure CRM data accuracy.
  • Train new hires to Contract Specialists and/or Contract Assistant seat on duties.
  • Life contracting management.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Insurance industry or related experience is a plus
  • Proficient typing skills with a focus on speed and accuracy
  • Must have proficient computer skills within the following applications: Microsoft Suite, Adobe and internet business applications.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in documentation and record keeping.
  • Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with platforms such as Internal CRM and Slack
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team environment.
