Key Responsibilities

  • Design and build scalable, secure, and high-performance systems.
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code with a focus on performance and security.
  • Conduct design reviews and code reviews to ensure quality and best practices.
  • Drive and enforce Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) best practices.
  • Optimize applications using tools such as AWS X-Ray.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience, with the ability to lead or mentor junior engineers.
  • Strong programming expertise in Python (and/or other languages).
  • Experience with:
    • Machine Learning / Generative AI
    • Prompt Engineering
    • Agentic AI systems
    • Writing and maintaining Markdown documentation
  • Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud services.
  • Familiarity with:
    • AWS Athena
    • AWS X-Ray
    • CI/CD pipelines
    • Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
    • VS Code and modern development environments
    • GitHub Copilot or similar AI-assisted coding tools
  • Experience building trade and risk management systems (preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience or capability in team leadership or technical leadership (nice to have).

We are committed to fair, transparent pay, and we strive to provide competitive compensation in addition to a comprehensive benefits package. The base pay rate for this position is $140,000 - 170,000 USD. 

This pay rate represents mthree's good faith and reasonable estimate of the base pay for this role at the time of posting and based on the locations listed in the job advertisement. It is anticipated that qualified candidates selected for a placement will receive this pay rate as a starting salary once onsite with the mthree client, however, the ultimate salary offered for this role may be higher or lower and will be set based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, skills, and competencies.
