Our client seeks a Senior Software Engineer in Test who will embed within an Agile squad to engineer quality into products. The role focuses on building fully automated tests each sprint, collaborating with cross-functional partners, and driving continuous improvement. You will design and implement automation for web UI and API layers, contribute high-quality code, analyze requirements to identify defects early, and champion quality practices that improve customer experience.

Rate: $60.00 to $55.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:
  • Partner within an Agile squad to ensure quality is engineered into each story and feature.
  • Design, implement, and maintain automated tests for web applications and REST APIs using Playwright and TypeScript.
  • Perform integration testing across event-driven, API, and serverless architectures.
  • Collaborate with product managers, analysts, developers, vendors, and business partners.
  • Conduct requirement analysis, defect tracking, test reporting, and release signoff.
  • Apply root cause analysis to defects and recommend remediation.
  • Leverage CI tools such as Jenkins for test execution and reporting.
  • Contribute ideas that improve test strategy, tooling, and delivery speed.
Experience Requirements:
  • Demonstrated experience in Agile methodologies.
  • Proficiency with Playwright and TypeScript for UI automation.
  • Hands-on experience testing REST APIs.
  • Strong software engineering skills and ability to write production-quality code.
  • Familiarity with Copilot and modern developer tooling.
  • Experience with integration testing across independent systems.
  • Relational database experience.
  • Experience with Jira, Xray, and Xray integrations.
  • AWS experience helpful.
  • Strong analytical skills, collaborative communication, and ability to champion quality engineering.
