Overview

Job Purpose

Join the Velocify team within ICE Mortgage Technology to automate everything that is automatable in the home loan approval process. The Velocify team specifically creates web-based software to manage leads for loan officers allowing them to prioritize, distribute, and work the leads through their organization's workflow. We are working with cutting edge technologies in C# and AWS such as .NET Core, Elastic Search, Redis caching, RabbitMQ queues, and more!

Responsibilities

  • Design and build scalable services and applications and optimize code work with our Performance Enhancement Group to achieve optimal performance.
  • Contribute to architecture, design, and implementation of next lead management and communication software.
  • Provide technical leadership for the Velocify team. Create technical specifications for new API's, executing from start to finish and owning the quality of the service in production.
  • Maintain and extend our environment, including our core .NET codebase, SQL Server, MongoDB, Redis, and RabbitMQ backends running on AWS and write meaningful microservices executing in containers that are both scalable and performance focused.
  • Maintain developer documentation for the new API's that will encourage adoption among our consumers.
  • Work with the product and QA members of the team to understand the requirements of new features and products and ensure that newly developed solutions are adequately tested.
  • Utilize development tools such as Visual Studio, git, and SQL Server Management Studio to produce quality solutions.
  • Perform security analysis on their own code using provided tools and working with the Application Security team.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information technology
  • 7+ years direct experience with modern web stacks, design, development and deployment of high-volume web applications and APIs.
  • Working knowledge of both relational and NoSQL database design and management- Microsoft SQL Server preferred.
  • Expertise with object-oriented languages such as C#.net and Java.
  • Excellent understanding of concepts and fundamentals of computer science including multi-threading, memory management and web services.
  • History of building resilient, stateless, scalable, distributed, and observable systems.
  • Experience in building REST services with high focus on performance.
  • Familiarity with microservices and knowledge of modern cloud services (AWS).
