Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Software Engineer to drive the design, development, and evolution of scalable backend platforms. In this role, you will provide software delivery across a product-driven team, with hands-on with implementation.
You will partner closely with product managers, engineering leaders, architects, and other engineers to shape strategy, guide execution of complex initiatives, and ensure delivery of high-quality, scalable, secure, and reliable software solutions. You will innovate and maintain engineering standards, mentor junior engineers and help advance the Java and Spring Boot microservices ecosystem within an agile scrum environment.
You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on meaningful and complex technology challenges.
Primary Responsibilities
Architecture & Design
  • Lead the design of distributed, scalable systems and microservices architectures
  • Define service boundaries, APIs, integration patterns, and asynchronous/event-driven approaches

Technical Contributions
  • Work on complex problem-solving initiatives and engineering execution
  • Mentor junior engineers, review technical designs, and promote strong software engineering practices

Engineering Standards & Platform Practices
  • Establish reusable patterns, standards, shared components, and development guardrails
  • Drive adoption of modern engineering practices, automation-first delivery, and continuous improvement

Cloud & Distributed Systems
  • Drive cloud-native solutions across AWS, Azure, or GCP environments
  • Lead microservices, containerization, Kubernetes, and platform engineering initiatives
  • Design for scalability, resilience, performance, and cost-conscious operations

DevOps & Delivery Excellence
  • Lead CI/CD pipeline improvements, release automation, and deployment reliability
  • Improve engineering productivity through standardized tooling, automation, and delivery metrics

Reliability & Observability
  • Ensure production readiness through monitoring, logging, tracing, alerting, and operational dashboards.
  • Drive diagnostics, incident prevention, root-cause analysis, and operational excellence practices.
  • Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered solutions to address complex business challenges with emphasis on responsible use of AI

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Science or technology
  • 4+ years of Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer, Senior Backend Engineer, or similar hands-on engineering role
  • 4+ years of Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, microservices, and backend service development
  • 4+ years of experience with system design, distributed systems, API design, integration patterns, and event-driven architectures
  • 4+ years of Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • 4+ years of Experience with CI/CD, DevOps tooling, release automation, and modern software delivery practices

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of scalability, performance, reliability, observability, production troubleshooting, and secure software engineering practices-Recommend moving this to preferred
  • Ability to mentor junior engineers, influence technical direction, and make high-impact decisions in ambiguous environments-Recommend moving this to preferred
  • Experience with containers and Kubernetes
  • Experience with platform engineering, shared services, reusable frameworks, or developer productivity initiatives
  • Exposure to AI/ML, conversational systems, contact center platforms, or enterprise integrations
  • Experience working in agile scrum teams with product managers, architects, engineering leaders, and cross-functional partners
  • Exposure of Healthcare domain(good to have)

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $91,700 to $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
