Job description

Position Title: Senior SharePoint Consultant & Administrator - SharePoint 2013 Migration
Location: San Jose, CA - Hybrid
Contract Duration: 6 months initially
Participate in the SharePoint Migration team and provide recommendations, analysis on
migrating content and providing solutions for Power Platform applications.
Typical Tasks:
  • Work would be assigned in the form of Jira product backlog items (PBIs). Acceptance of work is based on whether defined success criteria and definition of done are met.

Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Extensive experience in designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining SharePoint solutions for large-scale, complex enterprises.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of SharePoint platforms including SharePoint 2010, 2013, 2016, 2019 and SharePoint Online/M365, and related Microsoft technologies such as Azure, Power Apps, and Power Automate.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing SharePoint administration tasks such as creating sites, managing permissions, configuring services, monitoring server health and performance, and troubleshooting issues.
  • Strong experience with migration projects, including planning, execution, troubleshooting, and managing the transition from on-premise SharePoint to SharePoint Online/M365.
  • Ability to develop and implement custom SharePoint features and functionalities, such as web parts, workflows, and forms, using technologies like JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and PowerShell.
  • Solid understanding and application of SharePoint best practices, governance policies, and security protocols.
  • Proficiency in working with SQL Server databases and integrating SharePoint with other enterprise systems and databases.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex SharePoint issues.
  • Demonstrated experience in preparing detailed technical documentation, user guides, and training materials.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse groups of stakeholders, including non-technical staff, and translate complex technical concepts into understandable terms.
  • Proven project management skills with the ability to plan, manage, and deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • In-depth knowledge of ITIL and ITSM frameworks, particularly in the context of SharePoint service management.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team, exhibiting a high degree of initiative, and proactively addressing potential issues before they escalate.
