Job description

A career as a Senior Analyst Stock Loans in the Capital Markets Operations team at National Bank means acting as a specialist in securities income and market event processing. In this role, you will contribute to the evolution of operational practices supporting Capital Markets while helping ensure the accuracy, efficiency, and integrity of activities related to securities distributions.

Your expertise in securities operations, analysis, reconciliation, and process improvement will allow you to make a positive impact on the organization and support the continued transformation of the Bank.

Your role

• Analyze securities-related distributions by considering deadlines, client and product characteristics, tax withholdings, currency conversions, and operational exceptions.

• Monitor reconciliation activities, investigate discrepancies, collect outstanding amounts, and ensure compliance with established policies, standards, and procedures.

• Produce reports, statistics, and operational metrics while maintaining the accuracy, quality, and integrity of data.

• Collaborate with partners across the Bank to provide technical expertise and support the effective execution of processing activities.

• Recommend improvements to systems, controls, and operational processes by providing analysis and insights that support decision-making.

• Contribute to the implementation of new systems, tools, and work methods that enhance operational efficiency and support business objectives.

Your team

Within the Dividends Capital Markets Operations team, you are part of a dynamic team of approximately  12 colleagues and report to the Director, Dividends-CM.

Our team is recognized for its operational expertise, collaborative approach, and commitment to delivering excellence in support of Capital Markets activities. We work closely with a variety of partners to manage risk, improve processes, and ensure the successful execution of critical operational functions.

Requirements

• Hold a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Have a minimum of 4 years of experience in securities operations, capital markets operations, or a related field.

• Demonstrate experience processing securities-related events, distributions, or income activities.

• Possess strong analytical skills and experience performing reconciliations, investigations, and exception management.

• Have experience producing operational reports and working with data to support decision-making.

• Demonstrate knowledge of operational controls, risk management practices, and regulatory or procedural compliance within financial services.
