Job Title: Engineering IMIT Business Solutions Analyst

Job Location: Mirabel, QC or Enfield, NS

Compensation Range: Between $70,000 - $120,000 CDN annually

As an active member of the Engineering Enabling Systems (EES) team, a section, within the Software Engineering department at L3 Harris MAS, the Solutions Business Analyst will be primarily responsible for translating business / operations needs into solutions by gathering requirements and communicating those within the Engineering Enabling Systems team.  Acting as a channel between internal and external clients and the EES department, you will be responsible to design and transform business / operational needs into effective and sustainable IM/IT engineering solutions.

Essential Functions: 

  • Analyze clients IM/IT Requirements.
  • Facilitate, organize and lead workshops with business organizations to capture & document needs.
  • Identify, analyze, map processes and rules in a visual and concise way, then propose target processes to maximizing the digital technology solution.
  • Support solutions implementations from the initial idea to the project completion
  • Orchestrate/conduct the tests and validate the solution against the customer requirements.
  • Participate as an active member to a project bid multidisciplinary team.
  • Reviews bid documentation and derive engineering IM/IT requirements.
  • Create Concept of Operation (CONOPS), use cases, Business Processes Model & Notation (BPMN) and System Models.
  • Be responsible for analyzing the impact of new requests on the existing solution and on business processes.
  • Works with the Chief Solutions Architect to analyze, recommend and implement plans for improvements and optimization of performance, reliability and availability of IM/IT systems and interfaces.
  • Manage operational requirements and duties of the ENOVIA 3DExperience Tool (PLM).
  • Perform trade study analysis and recommendations.
  • Participate and lead Organizational Change Management (OCM) activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or a master's degree in a relevant field of specialization is an asset.  Preferred fields of specialization: Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Computer Science.
  • Knowledge and hands on experience of the ENOVIA 3DExperience Tool (PLM), SAP and RAMCO Enterprise systems is an asset.
  • Practical experience in translating Business needs into functional and technical requirements.
  • Master the different phases of an implementation project: gathering needs, writing specifications, monitoring, testing, user training, production go live.
  • Knowledge of PLM/ ERP / MMS enterprise systems.
  • Experience with IM/IT system implementations.
  • Knowledge of Aerospace Engineering IM/IT, and authoring software like CATIA, Patran/Nastran, Solidworks, Draftsight, Hypermesh, Hyperwork, Metlab, etc.
  • Efficient with MS Office tools including Visio and Project.
  • Knowledge and experience with Digital Transformations and Company Change Management.
  • Excellent understanding of Aerospace & Defense business.
  • Have project management experience.
  • Excellent learning ability, be autonomous and engaged, result-oriented and problem-solving, dynamic and innovative, team-oriented, good adaptability, good stress tolerance.
  • Efficient communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Primary language is English.  Bilingualism (English / French) is an asset.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2/NATO Secret security clearance;
  • Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
