Nightwing is seeking a Senior Security Administrator who will play a critical role in protecting mission-critical systems and sensitive information. This position is designed for an experienced security professional who thrives in high-visibility environments, operates with minimal oversight, and brings deep technical expertise to enterprise security challenges.

** Candidates must have an active TS/SCI with CI Poly clearance **

Location: Annapolis Junction, Maryland

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, implementation, management, and continuous improvement of enterprise-wide security systems and protocols.
  • Safeguard the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information systems in alignment with federal regulations, agency policies, and industry best practices.
  • Provide expert-level guidance on security policy development, system hardening, vulnerability management, and incident response.
  • Operate independently on mission-critical and high-visibility initiatives, ensuring security objectives are met without compromising performance.
  • Serve as a technical leader by mentoring and overseeing junior staff and coordinating the efforts of personnel assigned to specific security initiatives.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, translating complex security requirements into actionable solutions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience performing duties aligned with this role (or an approved qualifying substitution)
  • Current TS/SCI CI Poly Clearance
  • IAT Level II certification compliance (required).
  • Proven ability to lead security efforts in complex, regulated environments.
  • Strong knowledge of federal cybersecurity standards, risk management frameworks, and enterprise security architectures.
  • The confidence and expertise to work independently while contributing to a collaborative security team.

Active and transferable Active U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

The salary associated with this position ($122,000-$253,000) is commensurate with the selected candidate's qualifications, years of relevant experience, and demonstrated level of expertise. Compensation will be determined based on these factors to ensure alignment with skills, responsibilities, and market standards.
