Senior Clinical Scientist - Computed Tomography (Rochester, MN)

Join Philips at the forefront of medical imaging innovation, where your clinical and technical expertise will help shape the future of Computed Tomography (CT) technology and transform patient care worldwide. In this highly visible role, you'll collaborate with leading clinicians, researchers, and business leaders to advance breakthrough solutions in cardiology, diagnostic radiology, and oncology while driving the next generation of evidence-based imaging innovations.

Your Role:

  • Drive clinical innovation by identifying emerging customer needs and partnering with clinicians and researchers to co-create new ideas, technologies, and research projects that improve patient care.

  • Shape CT business strategy by contributing to clinical prototypes, innovation roadmaps, and long-term clinical plans that align with business and marketing objectives.

  • Build and lead strategic collaborations with clinical experts, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), and research partners to execute feasibility studies, validate concepts, and explore future technologies.

  • Generate clinical evidence through research partnerships, investigator-initiated studies, and Philips-sponsored trials to demonstrate the value and impact of new technologies on outcomes and workflows.

  • Serve as a clinical thought leader by providing market and customer insights, monitoring clinical and regulatory trends, publishing key findings, and communicating the clinical and technical value proposition to customers and stakeholders.

You're the right fit:

  • You hold an MD, PhD, or MSc in biomedical sciences, engineering, medical imaging, or a related field, and bring 4+ years of experience working with clinical partners and conducting clinical research. You have built credibility by operating at the intersection of science, technology, and healthcare.

  • You have a strong clinical imaging background, ideally in CT or a related modality, with experience conducting clinical investigations in hospital environments. You understand imaging procedures, clinical workflows, and emerging innovations across radiology, cardiology, and oncology.

  • You have a proven track record of driving evidence generation through clinical studies, research collaborations, and investigator partnerships. You are comfortable leading co-creation efforts, ideation activities, and multidisciplinary clinical research initiatives.

  • You are an exceptional communicator who can build relationships across diverse stakeholder groups, including physicians, researchers, marketing teams, clinical scientists, and R&D organizations. You can clearly translate complex clinical and technical concepts into compelling insights for a variety of audiences.

  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment where you balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution. You are a curious self-starter who embraces new technologies, manages multiple priorities effectively, and is willing to travel to hospitals, customer sites, and medical conferences as needed.

  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
