Sales Development Representative, Outbound

Truleo

Greenville, SC • On-site

$65K/yr

Full-time

Re-posted 18 days ago

Job description

TRULEO is Intelligence That Solves Cases Faster. We build the AI agent platform that sits on top of the systems law enforcement agencies already use (RMS, CAD, jail calls, body-worn cameras, OSINT tools, and 100+ other databases) and works the case alongside detectives. We don't replace existing systems and we don't ask agencies to migrate data. We make the information they already own searchable, connected, and actionable, so investigators spend their time closing cases instead of running queries.
More than 1,000 departments rely on Truleo today, from large local departments to state agencies, sheriff's offices, corrections, and university police across the country.
We are headquartered in Greenville, South Carolina, and are expanding our sales team by hiring outbound SDRs to drive the top of our pipeline.
The Role
We are hiring a professional outbound SDR who will sit in our Greenville office and own high-volume outbound prospecting into law enforcement agencies across the country. Your job is to generate users, qualify interest, and book qualified discovery meetings for our team.
This is not a marketing-fed inbound role and it is not a relationship-only seat. You will be on the phones at volume every day, working a target list in conjunction with marketing, running disciplined multi-touch cadences, and building enough users to feed a growing team. You will be measured on dials, conversations, qualified meetings set, and users generated.
What You Will Do
  • Conduct high-volume outbound cold calling, email, and multi-channel outreach to law enforcement agencies across the United States.
  • Research target agencies and identify the right decision-makers (chiefs, sheriffs, investigations commanders, IT leadership).
  • Run a disciplined cadence: dials, follow-ups, and multi-touch sequences over weeks, not single attempts.
  • Hit and exceed weekly activity targets and monthly meetings-set targets.
  • Maintain hygiene in HubSpot. Every contact, every disposition, every next step logged in real time.
  • Partner closely with marketing and pre-sales on handoff so meetings show up qualified and everyone knows what they're walking into.
  • Represent Truleo professionally to senior agency leaders. You are often their first impression of the company.

Qualifications
  • 1+ years in an outbound SDR / BDR seat at a B2B SaaS or technology company, with a documented record of hitting activity and meetings-set quota.
  • Comfortable making 80+ cold calls a day and treating it as the core of the job.
  • Can hold a real conversation with a chief, sheriff, or command staff member without a script doing the work for you.
  • Works a cadence, follows up persistently, and keeps CRM clean enough to defend to a leader on Monday morning.
  • Self-motivated, competitive, and coachable.
  • Working command of HubSpot or comparable CRM and an outbound sequencing tool (Outreach, Salesloft, Apollo, Unify, or similar).
  • Lives in Greenville, SC area. This is an in-office role.
  • Able to pass the background check required to work with criminal justice (CJIS) data.
