Job description

Colquitt Regional Medical Center is currently looking for an Exceptional Registered Nurse or LPN to care for our residents. You will be responsible for delivering safe and effective nursing care with utmost compassion, evaluating response to treatment and advocating for residents' needs, and educating them and their families on health and wellness. The ideal candidate will be a responsible and well-trained professional able to give the best nursing care autonomously.
Responsibilities
  • Monitor resident's condition and assess their needs to provide the best possible care and advice
  • Observe and interpret resident's symptoms and communicate them to physicians and other providers
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to devise individualized care plans for residents
  • Perform routine procedures (blood pressure measurements, administering injections etc.) and document in the electronic record
  • Administer resident's medication and provide treatments according to physician's orders and according to scope of practice
  • Inspect the facilities and act to maintain excellent hygiene and safety (decontaminating equipment, sanitizing surfaces, preparing beds etc.)
  • Provide instant medical care in emergencies
  • Foster a supportive and compassionate environment to care for residents and their families
  • Expand knowledge and capabilities by attending educational workshops, conferences etc.
  • Supervises, manages and actively assists in staff development on assigned shift.

Job Requirements:
  • Current GA RN license.
  • LPN
    Must possess Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross OR obtain Basic Life Support certification through Colquitt Regional Medical Center Educational Services upon hire.
