About the Role

The Sr. Quality Data Analyst plays a critical role in transforming product quality and customer data into actionable insights that drive continuous improvement across Precor's products and operations. This role combines expertise in quality systems with modern data analysis and scripting tools to identify trends, uncover root causes, and support data-driven decision-making.

Working cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Global Sourcing, Product Management, and Customer Service, this role ensures quality and field performance data is accurate, accessible, and translated into meaningful actions that improve product performance and customer experience across the full product lifecycle.

This role provides exposure to strategic decision-making and the opportunity to influence business outcomes through data-driven insights. It also explores the use of advanced analytics and AI tools to enhance insight generation and improve the speed and effectiveness of quality decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Data Analysis & Insights

  • Analyze complex product, field, and customer data to identify trends, quantify risks, and generate actionable insights for Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and leadership.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data models to monitor product quality, field performance, and operational metrics.
  • Translate insights into measurable business impact, including cost, risk, and performance improvements.

Customer & Field Quality

  • Evaluate warranty, field performance, and customer feedback data to identify product quality trends and emerging risks.
  • Recommend corrective actions and improvements to support continuous enhancement of product performance and customer experience.
  • Enhance the capture, structure, and utilization of field and customer data to improve visibility and decision-making.

Quality Systems & Process Improvement

  • Own and improve systems, processes, and governance for quality data management.
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) through historical data insights and risk indicators.
  • Contribute data-driven inputs to pFMEA/dFMEA, control plans, inspection strategies, and other quality initiatives.
  • Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence through LEAN, risk-based, and data-driven approaches.

Advanced Analytics & AI

  • Apply statistical, predictive, and advanced analytics techniques to identify patterns, anticipate quality issues, and support root cause analysis.
  • Implement AI-enabled tools and automation to accelerate data processing, anomaly detection, and insight generation.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to pilot, scale, and embed data-driven and AI-enabled solutions.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Operational Support

  • Lead initiatives to improve data quality, reporting, and system integration across functions and geographies.
  • Communicate trends, insights, and recommendations effectively to stakeholders, including senior leadership.
  • Support investigation and resolution of quality issues, including containment, rework, and supplier-related activities.
  • Monitor and report key metrics such as Cost of Quality (COQ), PPM, warranty, and product issue status.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Data Analytics, Statistics, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in quality, manufacturing, or data analytics roles
  • Strong experience with SQL, relational databases, data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau), and analytics tools (Python, R, or similar)
  • Proven ability to translate data into actionable insights and quantify business impact in terms of cost, risk, and performance
  • Familiarity with modern data and AI tools, with experience applying them in operational contexts

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Salesforce, SAP, or similar ERP systems
  • Knowledge of quality methodologies (Six Sigma, FMEA, root cause analysis, control plans)
  • ASQ certifications (CQE, CQA, etc.) or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt
  • Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) processes
  • Hands-on experience applying advanced analytics or AI in manufacturing or operational environments

Base Salary: $125,000 to $169,000

The pay range represents the low and high end of the anticipated pay range for this position based at our Woodinville, WA headquarters. The actual pay offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including individual performance, business objectives, and if the location for the job changes.
