VELYS Enabling Technologies is the fastest growing area of the Orthopedics business, and the platform is a key enabler of growth. The Sr Specialist Ortho SCP will be supporting all Supply Chain Procurement business leaders for this dynamic scope of business. The role has the critical responsibility of data analytics, usage of digital tools and performance reporting for the team, ensuring mutual understanding between the procurement organization and the Orthopedics business.

The selected person will also be responsible for a specific scope of the business with final accountability for optimally delivering supplier performance across Reliability of supply, GP improvement & Cost competitiveness and Supplier Selection for new product development.

The Senior Specialist Ortho SCP's scope of responsibilities include:

  • Develop and drive the Procurement vision, in collaboration with the VELYS Enabling Tech Value Streams and other Orthopedics business partner teams, to deliver on Supplier performance across reliability of supply, quality, cost management, innovation, and business growth commitments.
  • Lead the data capture analytics initiatives for the governance and reporting of Procurement performance metrics, Contract Manufacturing Organization trends and MedTech market intelligence, and ensure accurate representation of the platform into the larger Orthopedics performance dashboard structures.
  • Support Procurement and business partner initiatives to identify Sourcing opportunities including DePuy Synthes Spend analysis, Requests for Quotation and Alternate Source analysis.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain partners to perform risk assessments, develop supply mitigation strategies, and to improve overall supplier reliability and to actualize cost reductions.
  • Monitor strategic Life Cycle Management activities through close collaboration with Product Managers, Tech Ops Engineering, Supply Chain customers and external partners. Develop LCM data pools for Proactive Sourcing mitigation.
  • Monitor supplier data inputs and outputs from the Value Stream S&OP process with a focus on analysis of supplier capacity, Lead-Times, MOQ cost optimization and Supply Agreement adherence.
  • Serve as the Supplier Relationship Manager for a limited set of VELYS Enabling Tech suppliers. Responsible for those suppliers' performance in relation to all Value Stream and Procurement business requirements.

$94,000.00 - $151,800.00

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company's consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).
This position is eligible to participate in the Company's long-term incentive program.
Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:
Vacation -120 hours per calendar year
Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado -48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington -56 hours per calendar year
Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays -13 days per calendar year
Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
Parental Leave - 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child
