Job description

Risk Advisory Analyst, Senior Specialist:
  • Provide operational and strategic risk guidance, oversight, and independent challenge to Personal Wealth leaders and enterprise partners, consistent with Vanguard's risk management framework.
  • Identify, assess, and prioritize existing and emerging risks, advising business partners on appropriate mitigation strategies, control design, and control effectiveness.
  • Lead and support the development and execution of risk management strategies that align with business objectives, departmental priorities, and Vanguard's overall risk strategy.
  • Partner with business teams during the development and implementation of new products, services, processes, and initiatives to ensure risks are understood and effectively managed.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of the business's risk and control environment, leveraging industry practices and risk management expertise to recommend enhancements where appropriate.
  • Provide analytical support, consultation, and facilitation to divisional leadership to enable informed, risk-based decision-making.
  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with enterprise and divisional leaders, serving as a trusted risk advisor who provides effective challenge and influences risk-informed decision-making across strategic, operational, and client-facing initiatives.
  • Promote effective risk management practices and continuous improvement, establishing measurable objectives and helping improve the quality and effectiveness of risk management activities across the business.
  • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

What it takes:
  • Minimum of ten years related work experience.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred
  • Strong conceptual and strategic thinking skills.
  • Strong ability to influence and persuade up, down, and across.
