Job description

Role Summary

We are seeking an Enterprise Risk Management Senior Manager to join the Enterprise Risk team. This exciting role provides independent oversight of the Enterprise Risk Framework as well as the supporting programs and policies. The Enterprise Risk Senior Manager works with the second line Business Line Risk teams to increase knowledge, awareness and training of the ERM Framework and Polices and assists them with the Business execution of these programs. The position interacts with all levels of management and senior level executives; therefore, exceptional interpersonal and communication skills are essential.

The successful candidate will report into the Global Head of ERM, who reports directly into the Chief Risk Officer. Candidates must demonstrate strong initiative and be capable of managing multiple and diverse assignments.

Responsibilities

  • Assists the second line Business Line Risk teams with the identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks, including developing and coordinating the design/revision of templates supporting the risk activities

  • Strengthen Risk governance and oversight through enhancing policies, routines, or programs to ensure consistency and aggregation

  • Improves awareness of the firm's ERM Risk Framework and Risk policies, as well as strong industry risk oversight practices

  • Assists in identifying, aggregating, and assessing emerging risks facing the enterprise

  • Contributes to efforts developing a strong organizational risk culture and further develop the function's effectiveness as a second line of defense for the business or legal entity.

  • Assists in drafting and facilitating risk materials for various risk meetings and committees

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in risk management, financial services, or related field

Preferred:

  • Risk management experience in a large financial services organization or management consultancy

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the end-to-end risk management lifecycle, risk frameworks, and governance structures

  • Proven ability to distill complex information into a consumable narrative for an executive and Board level audience

  • Strong understanding of how the use of Artificial Intelligence both introduces risks across a variety of risk categories, as well as provides opportunities for improved monitoring and reporting

  • Proven ability to identify and evaluate risk pathways and devise management strategies

  • Collaborative, team player with the ability to navigate a complex organization and influence outcomes

  • Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills

  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills

This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to one day per week from home.
