**ROLE IS ON-SITE IN MISSISSAUGA, BUT ALSO ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR REMOTE CANDIDATES RESIDING IN REGINA, SK**
The incumbent will be tasked with developing strong working relationships in order to promote, attract and engage partner participation. The incumbent will work with our customers to determine and understand their 5G and future 6G requirements and offer solutions that best suit their needs for Radio Access Network (RAN), Service management and Orchestration (SMO) and RAN Intelligent Controller (RIC) platforms.

Role and Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead pre-sales and deliver solution services in the area of Network Architecture, Design and Performance of Radio Access Network (Radio/MMU, DU, CU, SMO and RIC).

  • Lead the Samsung sales process, by performing Customer Solution Responsible (CSR) role. Participate in RFx responses, presentations, consultations, and commercial proposals by providing product information, total solution value argumentation including services, bill of materials and driving network designs.

  • Provide network solutions on the latest technologies in Radio Access Network (RAN), Service management and Orchestration (SMO) and RAN Intelligent Controller (RIC) spaces, considering E2E impacts.

  • Lead discussion with Customers (Technical Staff and Senior Management) to understand customer requirements.

  • Work with an operator mindset to design and propose solutions that enhance their network.

  • Responsible for achievement of annual sales revenues/quotas and growing market share within the account.

  • Responsible for participating in the End to End Sales cycle, leading all technical aspects of the sales cycle.

  • Perform complex research and analysis of market, technology, standards, customer requirements and competitor trends for the development of RF/RAN/SMO/RIC solutions using TCO models.

  • Position Samsung as the leading innovative technology organization utilizing all business assets.

  • Maintain and provide business trends and competitive strategies.

  • Prioritize effort and sales focus to customers best aligned with Samsung solutions.

  • Propose solutions, develop and present technical presentations and proposals.

  • Design solutions that are scalable, robust and cost effective that fulfils operators' technical and business requirements.

  • Participate in knowledge transfer, documentation and information sharing.

  • Support product and delivery teams to ensure designed solutions are developed and deployed to meet customer's objectives.

  • Provide ideas and suggestionsto Product Management to further improve/add/modify existing offeringswithin the RAN, SMO and RIC portfolio.

  • Engage business stakeholders in understanding potential technologies capabilities.

  • Manage customer expectations, implementation of customer solutions within agreed time, scope and cost.

  • Build, maintain and grow positive relationships with key customers.

  • Work under tight time schedules.

Skills and Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering; Advanced degree is beneficial.

Knowledge/Skills:

  • The successful applicant must have a blend of skills required to contribute in pre-sales and delivery processes, use of consulting methodology and development of the technical expertise across the team.

  • Thorough understanding of 3GPP specification for LTE/LTE-A/5G features and Protocols, experience with ongoing 3GPP Rel activities is beneficial.

  • End to End knowledge of wireless, covering devices, RAN, Transport, RIC, SMO and Packet Core domains.

  • Deep technical knowledge in RF and RAN technologies including RIC and SMO and solid understanding of Network Virtualization and / or Core NW.

  • Experience with Virtualization, Containerized / Cloud-Native environments (Micro Services architecture, OpenShift, OpenStack, WRCP).

  • Able to understand customers business objectives and pain points and able to link them to improvements in Network Performance and End User Experience.

  • Ability to communicate, articulate, present and influence the C-Level (CTO, CEO) by knowing the impact of any action/service on their business.

  • Proficiencies in Lean, Agile, CICD, SRE, DevOps methodologies.

  • Exceptional troubleshooting and customer-handling skills.

  • Team player but also demonstrated ability to be self-motivated, initiative and ability to work under pressure and learn independently.

  • Innovation and proactive attitude and mindset.

  • Good presentation, time management and leadership skills & ability to work with diverse backgrounds.

  • Strong customer focus and high concern for quality is required.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate in languages additional to English (French, Spanish etc.) is a plus.

  • Good interpersonal skills and relationship development with customer.

  • Market insight, up to date with new developments in related technologies and products.

  • Ability to develop Others & share Knowledge.

Experience:

  • 15+ years of professional experience in wireless engineering with 5+ years for LTE/5G with experience in pre-sales and service delivery and/or Operator experience in solution architecture and technology development.

  • Has a wide range of experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.

  • Works on complex issues where analyzing situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variables. Exercises judgement in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria to obtain results. Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and coordinates other's tasks.

  • May manage a group such as coordinating activities regarding costs, methods and staffing.

  • Typically requires at least 8 years of related experience and a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years.

The salary range for this role is expected to be between $123,000 to $169,000 and reflects base salary only. Actual pay will be determined based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, competencies, qualifications, relevant skills and experience.
