Job description

Job Summary:

Mercury Systems Mixed Signal team has a great opportunity for an established RF Engineer to help us bring cutting edge technology to mission critical aerospace and defense applications, advancing innovation where it matters most. The engineering team is looking for a highly experienced RF Engineer who will design and support complex RF/Microwave products through all phases of the product life cycle.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the detailed design of RF circuits and overall product design
  • Provide technical inputs to Proposals
  • Provide technical Product support
  • Resolve Technical issues which span programs and products
  • Collaborate and effectively communicate while acting as the technical lead for development programs and production products and mentoring engineers

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of experience in High Reliability, Aerospace, or Defense Electronics product development and manufacturing
  • Experience managing projects and mentoring other engineers
  • Experience of acting as senior design engineer and technical architect for complex RF/Microwave Module product development such as:
    • frequency converters, switch matrixes, amplifiers and limiters
  • Expertise troubleshooting RF/Microwave, analog, digital, and mixed signal circuits
  • Expertise with RF/Microwave test equipment
  • Expertise using RF simulation software (Microwave Office, ADS, HFSS)
  • Experience with failure analysis/Root-Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations
  • Experience transferring new designs to production
  • This position requires you to have an active government security clearance. Security clearances may only be granted to U.S. citizens.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in electrical engineering or a related field
  • CAD tools (Cadance Allego or similar)

  • This position is hybrid and can be works out of one of the following Mercury Systems locations:
    • Hudson, NH
    • Oxnard, CA
    • West Caldwell, NJ
