Senior Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst

At Microbiologics, our impact goes far beyond the lab. As a global biotechnology company with a strong reputation for quality, collaboration, and scientific rigor, we support the health and safety of people around the world through trusted biological products and services.

We are seeking a Senior Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to play a key role in driving financial visibility, performance insights, and strategic decision-making across the organization. This role is designed for a highly analytical professional who can translate complex financial and operational data into clear, actionable recommendations that improve performance, profitability, and cash flow.

To Be Considered for This Position, Candidates Must Have the Following Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in FP&A, financial reporting, or business analytics
  • Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
  • Proven experience developing financial models, performance reporting, and actionable business insights
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) and reporting tools preferred
  • Experience with data visualization or BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Domo) preferred

Why This Role Is Different

At Microbiologics, FP&A is more than reporting-it's a strategic partner to the business. In this role, you will:

  • Deliver insights directly to executive leadership to influence key business decisions
  • Help shape how performance is measured, reported, and improved across the organization
  • Drive standardization and automation of financial processes and reporting
  • Partner cross-functionally to improve financial literacy and operational performance
  • Play a visible role in improving data integrity, scalability, and decision-making frameworks

This role offers high visibility and the opportunity to directly impact business performance through data-driven insights.

What You'll Do

Performance Reporting & Insights

  • Develop and maintain executive dashboards and KPI scorecards, ensuring consistency and a single source of truth
  • Analyze monthly and quarterly performance, including volume, mix, pricing, productivity, and cost drivers
  • Translate complex data into clear insights, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Provide ad hoc analysis to support leadership decision-making

Business Partnership

  • Partner with executive and operational leaders to improve financial and business performance
  • Support strategic planning through scenario modeling, sensitivity analysis, and business case development
  • Help business partners understand key financial drivers and improve decision-making

Planning & Financial Modeling

  • Build, maintain, and enhance financial models used for forecasting and planning
  • Ensure models are standardized, well-documented, and scalable
  • Define and deliver consistent analytical outputs aligned with business priorities

Data, Systems & Process Improvement

  • Partner with Finance and IT to improve reporting automation and data flows
  • Identify opportunities to reduce manual processes and improve data quality
  • Drive improvements in reporting, planning, and analytics processes
  • Support governance and standardization across FP&A activities

Who Thrives Here

We believe strong financial insight comes from curiosity, structure, and business partnership. This role is a strong fit for someone who:

  • Thinks analytically and connects financial results to operational drivers
  • Communicates complex information clearly to both financial and non-financial audiences
  • Applies structured problem-solving to ambiguous or complex challenges
  • Is highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Takes a proactive approach to identifying risks, opportunities, and improvements
  • Thrives in a collaborative, data-driven, and continuously improving environment

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
