The full stack position often involves broader project responsibilities, whereas backend developers focus on database, server, and API development.

How do Senior Remote Full Stack Developers typically collaborate with cross-functional teams while working remotely?

Senior Remote Full Stack Developers often work closely with product managers, designers, QA engineers, and other developers through virtual collaboration tools. Regular video meetings, agile ceremonies like daily stand-ups, and asynchronous communication via platforms such as Slack or Jira help ensure alignment and project progress. Effective remote collaboration requires clear documentation, proactive communication, and the ability to navigate different time zones, making organizational and interpersonal skills as crucial as technical expertise.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Senior Remote Full Stack Developer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Senior Remote Full Stack Developer, you need advanced proficiency in both front-end and back-end programming languages (such as JavaScript, React, Node.js, Python, or Java), along with a bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field. Familiarity with version control systems like Git, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), containerization tools, and CI/CD pipelines is typically required. Strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, self-motivation, and collaboration are crucial soft skills for remote work environments. These abilities ensure the delivery of robust, scalable applications while maintaining productivity and alignment within distributed teams.

What are Senior Remote Full Stack Developers?

Senior Remote Full Stack Developers are experienced software engineers who build and maintain both the front-end and back-end components of web applications while working remotely. They possess advanced knowledge of multiple programming languages and frameworks, enabling them to handle everything from user interfaces to databases and server logic. Their role often includes designing system architecture, mentoring junior developers, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the scalability and reliability of applications, all from a remote location. This position requires strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a high degree of self-motivation.

Job description

Technical Recruiter

Location: Portugal, Remote
Job Type: Full-Time
Team: Talent Strategy | Office of the CEO
Base Salary: Competitive base + performance bonus

About TubeScience

TubeScience is a high-growth video advertising company headquartered in Los Angeles, helping the world\'s top consumer brands win at scale. We\'re data-obsessed, fast-moving, and built on a culture of testing, learning, and relentless improvement.

You\'ll be plugged directly into an exciting American company that operates at the pace and ambition of the best LA tech startups, working closely with leadership to build the teams that drive our growth.

The Role

You will be the owner of technical hiring at TubeScience, responsible for building our engineering and product organisation from the ground up. Join the Talent Strategy Team and help us supercharge our talent acquisition engine using performance marketing principles. You\'ll own the sourcing strategy, advise hiring managers, and run a rigorous, candidate-first process from intake to close.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the full hiring lifecycle for technical roles: software engineers, data scientists, ML engineers, DevOps, and product managers.
  • Source proactively and creatively: go beyond LinkedIn to technical communities, GitHub, Stack Overflow, engineering meetups, and referral networks.
  • Partner closely with engineering leadership and hiring managers to understand technical requirements, team dynamics, and the profile of candidates most likely to succeed.
  • Build and implement role-specific sourcing strategies, not generic pipelines: each search should reflect the specific technical domain and seniority level.
  • Create a high-quality, personalised candidate experience that reflects TubeScience\'s culture and moves fast without sacrificing rigour.
  • Apply data-driven insights to track pipeline health, identify drop-off points, and continuously improve hiring processes and time-to-hire.

What We\'re Looking For

  • At least 4 years of experience in technical recruiting within a high-tech or startup environment, specifically hiring software engineers, data roles, or product managers.
  • Demonstrable ability to evaluate technical profiles independently: you can assess a CV for a senior backend engineer, ML engineer, or data scientist without needing a hiring manager to pre-screen every candidate.
  • Hands-on experience with technical sourcing channels beyond LinkedIn: GitHub, Stack Overflow, technical communities, Slack groups, or similar.
  • Proven track record of running full-cycle searches for hard-to-fill technical roles in competitive markets.
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and closing skills: you understand what engineers value and how to build compelling offers.
  • Full professional fluency in English, written and verbal, is required.

Why TubeScience

  • Work at the intersection of performance marketing and technology, a fast-moving, high-impact environment.
  • Your hires directly shape the company\'s growth trajectory; every role you close matters.
  • A culture that rewards ownership, sharp thinking, and continuous improvement.
  • Competitive base salary + performance bonus.
  • Work with a high-growth American tech company from your city, with real ownership, real impact, and a culture that moves fast.
