As a Manager in Students and Grads Business Analyst Recruiting, you will lead and develop a team supporting recruiting for our Business Analyst programs. You will partner closely with the BA Recruiting Leader and BA Recruiting Leads to translate recruiting priorities and strategies into strong execution, support overall recruiting season management, and ensure teams are equipped to deliver against our hiring goals.

You will coach and support recruiters and Recruiting Leads as they execute against recruiting strategies, while bringing forward innovative ideas, market insights and recruiting practices that strengthen our approach. You will build strong partnerships across the organization, working regularly with internal HR partners and Students & Grads teams, while also engaging with business stakeholders and external partners as needed.

You will help connect strategy, people and execution across BA Recruiting, identifying opportunities, surfacing risks and supporting solutions that enable a well-managed and best-in-class recruiting experience.

The ideal candidate is an experienced people leader who can operate effectively in a complex, highly collaborative environment. They bring strong recruiting and client management experience, are comfortable translating strategy into execution, use data and insights to inform decisions, and can coach teams while bringing forward new ideas that help us continuously improve.

Roles and Responsibilities

People Leadership – Lead, coach and develop a team of recruiters and Recruiting Leads responsible for identifying and hiring top Business Analyst talent. Provide ongoing coaching and support to enable strong execution and continued development.

BA Recruiting Partnership – Partner closely with the BA Recruiting Leader and BA Recruiting Leads to translate BA recruiting priorities and strategies into execution, support overall season management, surface risks and opportunities, and help drive solutions across the portfolio.

Client & Stakeholder Management – Build and maintain strong relationships with internal HR partners, Students & Grads teams and business stakeholders, while engaging with external partners as needed. Provide consultation, share recruiting insights and ensure strong connectivity across partners.

Strategy & Innovation – Contribute to BA recruiting strategy by bringing forward innovative ideas, market insights and recruiting practices. Partner with the BA Recruiting Leader and BA Recruiting Leads to turn strategic direction into actionable approaches for the recruiting team.

Season Management – Partner with the BA Recruiting Leader, BA Recruiting Leads and broader recruiting team to support overall season management from planning through execution, including monitoring progress against goals, identifying risks and opportunities, coordinating across teams and helping address emerging needs.

Data & Insights – Partner with the broader team to leverage recruiting data, trends and insights to understand performance, identify opportunities and inform recommendations. Support executive-level reporting and communication as needed.

Candidate Management – Guide and coach the team in executing sourcing and recruiting strategies that identify top talent and deliver an optimal candidate experience from initial engagement through offer acceptance.

Season Prep & Interview Operations – Collaborate with BA Recruiting Leads, interview operations and other partners ahead of each season on forecasting, selection logistics, interviewer engagement and readiness.

Continuous Improvement – Stay abreast of early talent trends and innovative recruiting practices and bring forward ideas that improve recruiting effectiveness, candidate experience and how the BA recruiting team operates.

Recruiting Systems & Administration – Leverage Workday and other recruiting technologies necessary to fulfill role requirements.

Basic Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification

  • At least 4 years of experience in recruiting, human resources, or client consulting OR a combination of the three

  • At least 2 years of experience in Client Management

  • At least 2 years of experience in People Management

Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional Human Resources (PHR) certification or Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) certification

  • 5+ years of experience in Campus or Corporate Recruiting

  • 3+ years of experience in Client Management

  • 3+ years of experience in People Management, ideally leading a layered team

  • Experience in compensation and general HR requirements as related to hiring

  • Experience analyzing metrics, trends and data and using them to inform strategic decisions

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

McLean, VA: $151,900 - $173,400 for Recruiting ManagerRichmond, VA: $138,100 - $157,700 for Recruiting Manager

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
