Job Title: Electrical Engineer
Location: Decatur, Illinois
Experience: 5 - 10 Years

Job Summary:

Seeking an Electrical Engineer with experience in designing electrical distribution systems for process plants, including power system studies, panel design, and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design electrical distribution systems for FMCG/process plants
  • Perform power system studies and analysis
  • Develop engineering packages (SLDs, drawings, BOMs)
  • Coordinate with clients, vendors, and construction teams
  • Ensure compliance with NEC, UL508A, and IEEE standards
  • Support panel design and UL508A compliance
  • Lead IQ/OQ activities and ensure electrical safety standards

Required Skills:

  • Experience in LV electrical distribution, MCCs, VFDs, transformers, and substations
  • Knowledge of cable sizing, conduit sizing, grounding, lighting design, and cable tray layouts
  • Proficiency in electrical design documentation (SLDs, elementary drawings, layouts)
  • Strong understanding of NEC, UL508A, IEEE, and NFPA70E standards

Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
